They’ve perfected the Southern staple. The brownies are to die for as well. Delicious jams and jellies and new twists on the classic biscuit.
We LOVE Alabama Biscuit! Excellent food and coffee! Neighborhood/local atmosphere in a very convenient part of town (Cahaba Heights). This is a great spot for breakfast or a coffee date.
The best biscuit I had so far!! I tried their daily special which was the biscuit with gravy sauce for breakfast. It was very satisfying. Will definitely be back again and again.
This was such a fun treat! Biscuits are delicious! Very small restaurant, but somehow it works! I had a biscuit with pecan butter and honey. Even tho it was just one biscuit, it was so filling I could only eat half. Everything is super fresh! Staff is friendly. The place was very clean. Had a kind of Pacific Northwest feel to it. We very much enjoyed it and will definitely go back: )
It is probably the best biscuit I ever had, but it came at a cost. The plates are a little expensive for a breakfast and the wait in line was long. Again, good place but I won’t become a regular there!
Great food and atmosphere. Yes their prices are higher than a "normal" biscuit joint, but they aren't trying to be a normal biscuit joint. Try them...
Good Over Priced Biscuit
I got a plain biscuit with honey. The biscuit was a good size and it was very well executed. The honey is local and the same brand I but for the house. My biggest complaint is the price. It is hard to digest $4.24 for a plain biscuit and honey. I am aware they use spelted organic flour and local ingredients - that in itself costs more and is justifiable. It is hard to justify a $10 bacon, egg and cheese biscuit for one person, or a $12 strawberry biscuit. Very yummy biscuits, they know their stuff, but way over priced. Parking is a hot commodity too, so be patient and don't run the patrons over when you find a spot.
Great biscuits and coffee and the atmosphere is great. I agree that the biscuits are overpriced, but they're really good. My wife and I got the ham, egg, and cheese biscuit and both of us thought it was great, but overpriced at $9 each. I also think their coffee (octane brand) and drinks are great and are actually well priced at $3-4. I think the next time I go I'll opt for the half dozen biscuits with jam and honey for $18 and coffee because that's a decent deal given the quality of the food.
Loved every bite! Hearty, wholesome, fresh, local. If you want an egg mc muffin.....don't go here. This is the place for great atmosphere, good coffee and yummy biscuits.
Good food, but too pricey.. We ate breakfast at ABC this a.m. I had a sausage and egg biscuit. My wife had the croque madame. My egg was undercooked, the whites slimy, mucoid, and gross (a pet peeve of mine). Otherwise, the food was very good. The beverages, not so much. I had a cup of regular coffee that was disappointingly meh, with little aroma/flavor. My wife's tea tasted flavored...she was not thrilled. Our breakfast cost $29.95 plus tip. Like other reviewers, I was surprised by this high price. This will never be a regular in our rotation with such a low "bang to buck ratio". The restaurant is spare and a bit cold-feeling with insufficient seating, at least for a Saturday at breakfast time. But the place was hopping...so they're doing something right. Guess it shows how little I understand about the food business. I wish places would "wow" you with excellent food at surprisingly reasonable prices instead of creating high and easily unmet expectations with exorbitant prices. I can't help but think this adversely affects repeat business.
Unique. A neat local hipster restaurant with southern style.
I had the croque madam and a cappuccino.
The egg was poached to the right consistency, the ham was sweet and salty, the biscuit crispy, fluffy and nutty, the sauce was delicate with a subtle depth of flavor. Could have used a little heat in the sauce(pepper? Tabasco?)
The cappuccino was carefully made and presented with latte art, and was delicious.
The interior of the restaurant is well done, with reclaimed woods and local stone.
Yes it is expensive, I won’t go there everyday for breakfast. But then again it is not an everyday place.
Great place!. I love the Alabama Biscuit Company. I've never tried anything I didn't like. Everything is fresh and the coffee is amazing. Worth every penny!
I love Alabama Biscuit Company and I was very surprised to see that only 67% of people liked it. The biscuits and fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic, and the people are so friendly. I also like that your coffee is brought to you instead of being called by name to pick it up at the counter. It is pricey, but it is a local restaurant located right behind the summit and everything is made from scratch! Of course it will be more expensive! I don't mind spending my money here and will be back.
Delicious!, not cheap, but for an occasional breakfast- well worth it. Ingredients fresh- delightful choices- good friendly service.

Wow - way better than I expected - better than it looks too - if your gonna eat gluten this is the place for breakfast - great place, staff and local food
Their hours listed on Urbanspoon needs editing--they are open 7-2 seven days a week--so spread the good news. Great idea and great biscuits. Location and price may slow down their great effort. The biscuits are fantastic--the "Croque Madame" was tasty--smoked ham, poached egg, aioli & cheese on their stellar biscuit and huge serving. Not bad at $10 considering it's local ingredients and not just "slingin' hash!" I will definitely endorse the restaurant--and hope it survives, maybe the proximity to the Summit will help. The coffee and tea is on the artisanal end too--which is really nice. Next time I want to try the strawberry shortcake or blueberry bis-cake!! Come support them-it's really a nice restaurant.u
Great biscuits. This place is adorable and has delicious biscuits and coffee. It is a little pricey though.
Great Place. I don't understand all of the bad reviews. I have been here several times. Everyone keeps complaining about the prices. The food here is wholesome real food. I personally like the Alabama biscuit. The coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice is great too! If eating healthy is too expensive for you, you can always go to Mickey D's and pay for the trip to the doctor afterwards.
They really have something exceptional there. I've never tasted a biscuit like it. It is a little bit pricey but after I tried it for the first time I will be returning.
I just ate my very first"Standard" biscuit, with honey. It is the best biscuit I have ever had. I am so happy they are in my neighborhood. Very warm and friendly service, great, cozy atmosphere and beautifully decorated restaurant. I love y'all, Biscuit!
