We have been wanting to stop and check this shop out for quite some time. We finally had a day off and made it part of our morning.
The shop is small, so take-out is best or a quick meeting with one or two people...at most. The staff was super friendly and could not have been more helpful. The barista took the time to make me a pour-over of their two darkest coffees and both were excellent!
Although it took us a while to get there, we will definitely be back. Also, they have an outdoor vending machine for their coffee, which is a brilliant idea. Great local coffee at any hour.
Came across this spot accidentally a few weeks back. Mocha was solid. Also, I grabbed a bag of one of their lighter roasts, which I've still got to open and try at home. Cozy seating inside and a bice deck in the back with a view of the hills. Parking could be a bit dicey if they're busy, but worth a stop if you're in the area.
Really homey, great place to work with a lot of space and the vibes are the best of black mountain! The workers are super friendly and down to earth. The music is always bomb and there is minimal visual distraction depending on where you’re sitting!
Awesome coffee shop just outside downtown, and worth the drive.
Fresh roasted coffee, pastries from 4 Sisters, and great hours in a super comfy setting! Plus a collection of vinyls to spin! Relaxing and cool vibe.
I’ll be back!
Great coffee with a smooth taste that awakens your innermost yearnings. The ambiance makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The retro touch via a blast from the records and player adds a unique and meaningful touch to the overall experience.
As a side note, they do have Wifi (5G) and oat milk as an alternate base for those who prefer non-dairy.
The staff is suburb, courteous, and on-point in every respect. Keep it up!
This place is a whole vibe. The coffee is great but the atmosphere is even better. We tried the drip coffees and bought several bags to take home. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Black Mountain.
Vanilla latte and Honduras dark roast were some of the better I've had from a small shop. Roast seemed just right on the coffee and the latte was well proportioned between espresso steamed milk and froth. I worked at Starbucks for years and this place is better over all.
They’ve got the best espresso roast that I’ve ever had. The dynamite roast, is very creamy. Full of flavor, and it’s the only kind of espresso that I use for my machine. All other ones are nowhere near the same taste. This taste has always been consistent and delicious. I will only use this kind.
Excellent coffee and service. Rhwy also have the coolest coffee vending machine just outside if you need great coffee to go.
(Also the 'fettuccine' refers to the stir sticks, NOT a dish.)
Always a favorite on my trips to Black Mountain. The roasting is amazing and they know how to make proper espresso drinks. Bought a pound of light roast Honduran coffee for myself, a one of espresso roast for my father, and a double espresso macchiato to enjoy in the shop. Warm and comfortable environment with pleasant music (Carol King tonight, they have a large and varied vinyl collection) and gorgeous mountain vistas out the windows.
