Great location in Black Mountain. It has a very good menu and the prices are very reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. They have an excellent beer selection. The wings I had were crispy and cooked to perfection. Go try it out

Great location! Went for lunch and the Dark City Club was outstanding! My wife had the BLT and said it was delicious. This place is locally owned and operated, you should really try it out! Looking forward to trying the bear selection.

First visit, I am a local resident. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfy dining area. Plenty of parking. EXCELLENT food! Pulled pork w/ housemade BBQ hot sauce, selected 2 sides: smoked cabbage ( not smokey, just nice!), baked beans the old fashioned way. The cashier said if I did not like the cabbage, she would switch it out.......WOW! How customer oriented. Will definitely return for brisket and try other sides.

Wonderful BBQ restaurant. Locally owned and operated, always-friendly staff willing to go above and beyond for customers, and the food is fantastic. Brisket, pulled pork... heck, they even have occasional Reuben sandwiches which I love. Sides are always good. Do yourself a favor and check them out when you're in/around Black Mountain.

I happened upon Dark City looking for Squeelin Pig that my friend sent me the address for. It’s the same establishment, But SP is the food truck and DC is the physical location name. Since I don’t eat meat and they don’t have a veggie plate (where you can get like 4 sides for one price) my friend who sent me the address to pick up dinner for us on my way home from my herbalism apprenticeship told me to order him two meat dinner/platters and he would just eat the meat and I could have his sides (since each comes with 2 sides). He said the ribs were true southern ribs and tender. He said pulling them off the bone to dip in the yummy sweet bbq sauce was good. He also said the chicken was the best smoked chicken he ever had at a bbq place. He said both didn’t need sauce they were so good, but the sauce was a good accompaniment none the less. My favorite of the sides was the smoked cabbage, so good! I never had cabbage smoked before but now I’m hooked 🤤. Next favorite was the baked beans. I loved they used more than one type of bean, gave it a hearty and robust combination. It’s also not over seasoned so you can appreciate all the flavors. The Mac n cheese was good, I was kinda disappointed it wasn’t like the southern baked style like some of the google review pics suggested it may be. Maybe they changed the recipe to stovetop to make it quicker or for the summertime when it may be hot to turn on the oven. I hope they make some southern baked style again one day, I’d definitely come back for that. Least favorite was the fries. Also from previous pictures I thought they would be hand cut but these were frozen and the type with that weird texture on them like they tried to be a little breaded or something. Since everything else is homemade/non processed I would love to see it extend to all the sides too. Despite that we both said 4 solid stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️. If they offered hand cut fries and baked southern Mac n cheese, this could easily be the best bbq in the Asheville area. I would gladly pay an upcharge for “premium” sides like these. Despite that BCB is worth a visit if you are in Black Mountain. Decent parking lot and indoor dining room size too, so they can handle a good flow without congestion.

I have ste here several times the smoked chicken thighs are by far my favorite item here but the brisket and pork are ok too. I have not tried the ribs but most everything I have tried was good.

Delicious! Those green beans were the best I've ever had. And the smoked thighs with the blackberry vinegar sauce ... holy yum! Get yourself over there.
