I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while and it exceeded my expectations! I thought I was going the boring route by getting lasagna but it was the most unique delicious lasagna I’ve ever tasted! Our server Emelia was great and very knowledgeable on the menu. The food also came out very promptly. So delicious!

This restaurant, in a former carriage house, retains the country charm with a brick wall and horse hitches. The space is small and intimate, and I found it to be incredibly cozy. I ordered the veal, which comes rolled and covered in a light tomato sauce, with an enormous side of polenta. It was quite delicious. For dessert, I ordered the cannoli. You actually get two, one chocolate and one vanilla. It was a pretty substantial dessert and I was just thrilled to see cannoli, since it's rare to find.

Lunch was delicious! I had the Carbonara and it was yum! It was my first time having guanciale and I would repeat the experience. We started with a traditional serving of focaccia and the bread was so soft and light. Our service was great - one server for the whole spot and she was handling her business! We felt very cared for. Definitely will return to try more pastas!

I’ve been here a few times throughout my time in Bloomington and it has never disappointed! Other people must have gotten the news too because it is always packed so I highly suggest a reservation. I ordered the pesto pasta and it was delicious, served with a small side of bread. The Diet Coke I ordered came in a bottle so if you’re looking for a fountain soda, I would skip ordering and try one of their coffees or San pelingrino’s. They have a rotating menu of cannolis, mine were Nutella and were so good I ate them before snagging a picture. They are less like a traditional cannoli and more like a large pirouette (those cream filled sticks you eat with coffee). For $8 for two, they are a steal since they’re so delicious! I definitely recommend you come here for the most authentic Italian food you can find south of Indianapolis! Also, shout out to our server whose name I didn’t catch but who was lovely and checked in on us often! She elevated the experience in a time when servers are overworked and understaffed! 10/10!

What an adorable and delicious hidden little diner. We went on a Saturday evening for a special occasion and it was busy - reservations are recommended! But totally worth it! The froccacia was on point, we also had an oven fired pizza as an appetizer - amazing! The entrees were so good! I had a house special risotto that was so good, I'm still thinking about it weeks later. Yum! Authentic Italian, great service, cute place.

Finally! Truly fantastic takeout, and Italian takeout at that! I ordered takeout while the kids were still at school, wanting something really tasty but unable to quit working long enough for a meal out. Osterio Rago came up in a generic Google search, and I’m so glad it did! The restaurant was a bit hard to find, tucked quietly in an alley within an impossibly busy downtown. The man and woman at the counter were both super sweet, genuinely thankful and inviting. I ordered Bruschetta and Tuscan Salmon, the former among the best I’ve ever had, and the latter perched atop a bed on linguine with artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and lots of garlic. Both were truly phenomenal, and big enough to satisfy my early dinner and midnight snack cravings. Magnifico!
