This place has some serious barbecue. My brother and I found this place on Hooked and decided we wanted to try something other than Chinese. So went to Smokin' Jack's Rib Shack not only was it mouth melting good, the prices were reasonable, all the employees were super nice. This place deserves an A++++. If you are in Bloomington this place is a must try.
Absolutely awesome! Got the wings and side salad as I was having repairs done across street at J and S. Next day tried pulled chicken. Following week, the brisket. Blown away, melts in your mouth, with a perfect real smoke bark. I hate to admit, but better than my own! Service and follow up was extremely quick and spot on. This is the real deal! Real wood, no liquid smoke, genuine, ear to ear elbow to elbow barbecue heaven��
Smokin' Jack's Rib Shack provides the finest in old-fashioned BBQ in Bloomington, Indiana. Their chicken wings are smoked, deep fried and then covered in your choice of sauce. Very friendly folks. Very reasonable prices. Worthy of a road trip, too.
As always Smokin Jacks is our favorite pulled pork place. Love the mac n cheese, corn bread & cole slaw...but our favorite is the pulled pork sandwiches. A new favorite for my 3 yo is the playground...so much fun.

I had the brisket sandwich, baked beans and potato salad and I tasted a rib and some Mac and cheese from one of my dinner companions. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. It was a great surprise to get the over-50 discount on my tab. We ate in the front of the restaurant and it was a bit warm but tolerable. I saw the play area behind the restaurant with whimsical play houses and I would love to bring my nephew to play there and have dinner on the picnic tables. Very pleasant dining experience!
Went on a Monday night for the 1st time. We got our meals 1/2 price!!! Great pulled pork and fries. The tenderloin sandwich is huge as well.

Walked in and and the air smelled so good I wanted to lick it! Ordered carry out: wings plus cornbread. They are amazing! These wings are huge and sooo meaty!! Pretty good price too! Def going back to try some other items!
This place is amazing if you want some bbq and you are in bloomington. I will be coming here more and more. The staff was amazing the food is amazing and so is the dessert.
