Would like to give more stars. Sunday brunch was delicious and enjoyable. The atmosphere was great to enjoy the forest area. Food was good - french toast was so far my favorite! Lobster mac was also well cooked and well balanced. Great place for special occasions.

Look no further when visiting Blowing Rock. One of our favorite spots when we come to visit. Located by the beautiful park if you come early you can walk around the park or walk after the dinner and get yourself sweets from Wilkins. But let me tell you about the food here!!! My husband and I big foodies and have lived in NY and traveled the world and have had one of the best dishes. This place is on our list of best places to eat. Our waitress Julia was awesome and super sweet! We ended up chatting about food, nature and tattoos! We like to sample dishes and share them together. We had octopus which was so temper and not too chewy(perfect texture), Mac and cheese (delicious!!! and so creamy) soup of the night (kimchi+ mushrooms), Caesar salad, trout from the main dish, red curry from the special of the night. Everything was top notch. We enjoyed every dish. Can't recommend this place enough!!! Just make reservations and enjoy the beautiful night at Bistro Roca! Also did I tell you how cozy it is inside? Just go!

The food was delicious, and the service was great. We had the figs wrapped in prosciutto as an appetizer, the ribeye as the entree, and the pecan bar for desseet. Everything was great! Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Service is flawless. Atmosphere is superb. Food is good, not great. Drinks are excellent. Prices are reasonable. We've dined here a few times. Most recently we opted for appetizers roasted figs wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic and we had the charred octopus w smoked olives and an aioli. For entrees, the flounder was melt in your mouth perfection w succotash and asparagus. The lamb loin w chimichuri was char-grilled to an ideal med rare but over seasoned w finishing salt.

We drove 2 hours to see the Blowing Rock. After researching where to eat on Google, decided to make reservations here. But after reading some of the reviews, we almost canceled. I'm so happy we did not. We arrived 15 min before our reservation time. Checked in and waited in the bar area, which was quite interesting and casual. Dog lovers own the place! Dog pics everywhere. Rustic atmosphere and kind staff. Husband ordered the black and blue ribeye cooked medium. Eggplant fries recommended by the waitor were surprisingly light. Creamy on the inside amd served with this honey mustard kind if dip. Just awesome! The Bleu cheese and butter wasn't chunky and mild. It added depth to the char broiled steak cooked perfectly! So much flavor! Opted for fries, which were different and great. Ordered the Habi Burger which was said to be on the menu 15-20 years; our waitors first pick! Charbroiled burger glazed with a habanero glaze- it was aaaahhhhhmmmazing! Not too spicy just the right about of flavor. The Mac and cheese side was an up charge of $2 but so worth it. Bun compressed nicely. Thick fresh tomato and crisp lettuce. They pride themselves in using local ingredients from local vendors; there's even a box on the menu showing these businesses. The waitor was amazing too. Never had to wait for a drink and checked back after we tasted our food. The bistro was packed but we didn't feel rushed at all. The patio I read negative reviews about was a room added on maybe with half the walls actual walls and windows that line 3 of the walls. It was really nice. The only drawback was parking but just before the restaurant there's a 'park' that you can explore before or after your visit. Totally worth the drive!

Discovered through a simple Google search, they are off the beaten path and worth the exploration. Unique dishes and a staff in kitchen that cares about presentation and process. They support the Humane Society through photo shoots and have friendly staff too. We will return for sure.

Great food in a cozy atmosphere! The gig appetizer is outstanding. Beat the rush and get there after 1PM for lunch. Indoors and outdoor seating. Parking on premises. Highly recommended

There is no better way to beat the August heat, than to spend some time in the Blueridge Mountains. Blowing Rock is a cute little town that caters to summer tourists with a variety of great parks and restaurants. We loved Bistro Roca for lunch and it's pet friendly theme. It's a little hard to find parking, so park down the street and enjoy the park, pond and all the beautiful summer flowers that bloom in the mountains along the way. Bistro Roca is a tribute to the dog lovers in your life. The menue included Wild 😜 "Game" Wood Fired Trout and Great Burgers which we loved as well as the unique veggie side dishes! We ordered the roasted figs as our desert

Stopped in while visiting from Delaware based on the advice of a local. We were VERY impressed. The place has a really cool vibe with lots of brick and distressed wood. Every course was simply excellent! We had the roasted figs and manchego as an appetizer, the pappardelle, and local NC trout as main courses. We had a couple of cocktails as well. Everything was excellent! The service was great as well. If we are in the area again we shall certainly return!

The best duck confit I've ever had!! Steak was slightly undercooked for my wife's liking but was so good she ate it anyway! We will be back!! Next visit was just as spectacular!! Thank you Bistro Roca!! 💙

One of our traditional dinner spots in Blowing Rock. Usually very good but on occasion they'll over char a pizza and they get really busy so getting bar drinks brought to your table can take awhile. But the entrees tend to be excellent and the servers are very nice. Love the mac and cheese, repeat Love the mac and cheese, and when cooked without over charring the pizzas are stellar. Have had pork porterhouse over polenta, one of my husband's favorites. He also adores the pecan bar dessert. The pork lettuce wraps are very good. And you can't go wrong with the BR burger with a side of the awesome mac and cheese. And also really enjoy the CAB Brisket.

This is the exquisite restaurant that I treated my (now) wife to on the night that I proposed to her near Blowing Rock, NC! We both ordered from their Specialties menu, the delicious Crab Cakes & the Black & Bleu. I recall this being one of the few occasions I ordered such significant portion of food and did not leave a crumb behind because it was so melt in your mouth good. The waitress had even allowed us to choose a complimentary dessert off their menu due to the special occasion! We are so excited to revisit one day hopefully soon.

Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday afternoon. It was a 10 from start to finish. It wasn't at all crowded due to our arrival time and we basically had the back porch to ourselves. The house music was delightful and soothing and there was enough chill that they had the fireplace going. Our server Jessica made our experience even better with her pleasant demeanor and constant smile. We just wanted to relax and enjoy a nice meal as we were in no hurry whatsoever. Mission accomplished. Thanks Randall & Pat Foster
