Another Sister Trip to Blowing Rock has come and gone. It’s hard to believe there were shoppes that were new to us. Let’s start with SAY CHEESE. This might sound like a photography shop but it’s not. It is the BEST gourmet grilled cheese eatery. This is owned by a husband and wife team. She was so sweet and informative. She also said if we wanted to alter an item or order something special, she would do it, if she had the ingredients. We both ordered the Sweet & Savory. It was crisp bacon, peach jalapeño jam, smoked Gouda and provolone all held together with perfectly buttered and grilled sourdough bread. It was perfect golden crispness meets ooey gooey cheese, meets sweet hot jam and bacon. This combination cannot be beat. My sister will challenge that statement because she subbed the peach jalapeño jam for fig jam and it was delicious too. They are to go only but they have a lovely patio area to enjoy your sandwich. They are in the heart of downtown BR. Don’t miss this delectable spot.
I’ve been to Say Cheese three times in the last month. I absolutely love it!! Their variety of grilled cheeses are second to none, and their tomato soup is bomb!! My personal favorite is the spice is nice, with pimento cheese. I have taken friends, family, and coworkers - and everyone loves the place! Parking can be a challenge, but if you can’t snag a spot on a side street, I’d recommend the two level parking lot across Main Street and back a little bit ways.
This place definitely know how to make grilled cheese sandwiches. We had the Brie Apple grilled cheese. It was delicious and a good sized sandwich ( I definitely couldn’t taken 1/2 of it home ) they are in the back of that shopping area with all the white buildings towards the end of the main drag. I loved their patio tables with bright yellow umbrellas- you sit by all the beautiful flowers. Not fancy dining but very delicious & stress free.
The bagel and grilled cheese sandwiches we ordered were delicious and the gentleman who took our order was extremely friendly!
the pimento cheese bacon and egg bagel sandwich was so good i felt like i was having a religious experience. will most certainly be back in the future!!!
An outstanding lunch. I had the ham, smoked gouda, and cheddar. Wife ordered a grilled cheese with brie. Her's came with bacon, but she doesn't eat bacon, so they were nice enough to put it on mine. This had to be the best grilled cheese I've ever had. And the couple who own and run it were super nice, and we had a pleasant conversation with them. I highly recommend eating here!
This is hands down the best grill
Cheese sandwich I have ever had, I tried the Brie baby with tomato soup and it was superb,!! I can’t wait to go try the rest of the menu, thank you
We visited Blowing Rock for the first time and on our last day, we decided to give this place a try. Great sandwiches!! The owners are truly spectacular. We had a great conversation and it made this tiny place feel like home. Definitely give them a try.
