This is a hidden gem that we never knew existed but I am glad we found! This charming family restaurant is nestled in the old blue ball fire company building and is definitely a local favorite. It gets pretty busy in the mornings so you may have to wait a little bit for a table but the waitresses and staff work so quickly and thoroughly that you wont be waiting long. They have a decent menu with all the necessities you could want and daily specials. The food was delicious, hot, and home made. The prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was amazing and so friendly. This local restaurant definitely has an older feel to it but it fits right in in little ol Blue Ball PA. We will definitely be back!
Unexpected little gem of a family restaurant! Great service, excellent food, and wonderful atmosphere. This little restaurant is packed and if you are willing to wait for a seat you will quickly find out why.
The staff is very friendly and you feel like a friend. The blueberry pancakes are to die for, there is no skimping on the blueberries! You get a good portion of food and the prices are more then reasonable!
Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I met some friends for breakfast on a weekday morning and the place had a decent amount of people.
Great local spot. We’re from VA and stopped here for breakfast while staying nearby for the weekend. This is the place to go if you want a good, simple breakfast. No frills, just good food, good people, good prices. Just good home cooking.
Delicious diner food. Good coffee and good service. The staff have been there for years, so I think it's also a good place to work, which makes me happy.
I love this place! My friends drove from New York City to take me here, and despite my happiness with Philly eats, I said yes.
They drove miles upon miles to pick me up from my disappointing existence and I knew this diner would give my life meaning again. We went from plowville to blue ball, as true Americans, for the corned beef hash that is dying in this snowflake nation. I knew it was right.
We pulled up to the blue ball fire fighters after long hours of reviewing George W’s legacy ( we did the hike at valley forge). We knew blue ball could give us what we never deserved.
But the diner was closed. Forever.
I’ve never been so angry. My best friend screamed at a man. He was a veteran. He didn’t deserve it. They are closed.
I’m done with this place. I’m moving to Djibouti. They treat people right there. My firstborn can eat.
I used to love it. But now it makes me balls blue. Don’t make my mistakes. You’re welcome, and I’m sorry.
Very tasty. Best scrapple I’ve ever had. Delicious farm fresh eggs.
This is a kind of spot that is fast disappearing. In fact I understand it is going to close shortly as the building is being torn down.
Most of the sides were outstanding and you could make a great meal with a 4 side combo. Pepper slaw, cucumber salad, stewed tomatoes were highlights. My entree came with incredible mashed potato and gravy. Even if the gravy had the texture of fruit pie filling. Pork cutlet was probably the best entree.
Nice service.
Good food, good people, and great prices
Two other places we looked at for dinner was a long wait. I checked out Google to see if there was a small local restaurant we could go to as they usually have the best food for the money. This place did not disappoint. Good food at a fair price. Only reason for 4 stars...I asked if ice tea was fresh brewed and was told yes and it was not.
