I took my Daughter for lunch and the food was delicious!
Every bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth! We tried a variety of food and it all was great! I will be bringing friends & family back for the experience! The dessert was to die for!
My brother in law told us about Ishtar ,we love it and will return when we can,the food is fresh and the flavors are new and so good.
Ishtar Market is the best! Middle Eastern/Iraqi goods, are high quality and the restaurant is simple and authentic. TABOULI IS THE BEST!
Quaint authentic restaurant run by an absolutely Golden family. My food took no more than ten to fifteen minutes, but they felt badly that I had to wait and provided a discount as well as free baklava of their own volition without me even asking. They were kind enough to discuss spices I should purchase for my wife who is an avid cook. The food tasted authentic and I could tell it was all home made. Will definitely return soon.
I have eaten at Ishtar's many times and I love their restaurant! Not a signal complaint. The market has unique foods that I always grab after my meal. Baklava is awesome! Keep it up!
Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and fresh. We'll be back many times.
This is such an amazing find for Boise!
Incredible Mediterranean food! Loved their Kabab and their Baba Ghanouj is simply some of the best I’ve ever had!
Their kibbeh balls are heavily seasoned and were not my favorite but if that’s you’re thing- go for it.
The setting is nice as well- not too hot and not too cold which is so nice to be able to enjoy your meal! The waitstaff is also very friendly and welcoming.
The tabbouleh was super fresh and had tons of flavor! Super reasonably priced and very worth the visit! 😊😊
Great place...they have a lot of middle eastern items and also a restaurant next door...we buy their bread almost on a daily basis...best bread in town..its made the old fashion way in a stone barrel like oven
I love their food. Delicious. Great prices in the store too. Unfortunately food service varies depending on who's working. The owner and his brother (who used to have his own restaurant/store on Emerald) are both nice and welcoming but the young man who works there is not. He's often on his phone and is super nice to regulars who are of the same culture but not to anyone else. Like regulars get bags of their beautiful naan and the rest of us are told no. It's bad business to tell three customers they can't buy extra bread then have someone else walk in 5 minutes afterwards and be sold a big bag of what we all were told we couldn't have. It's kind of mean and to do it so overtly..I don't think the owner would be happy to see this.
And if he's working, sometimes a sandwich usually served on that beautiful naan instead comes out in dry old lavash with no explanation. Usually if he's the one working, I just leave.
Sooo good lamb and chicken shawarma, and falafel, I love them all 🙏😍
They are really nice people who are helpful and smiling, and there is a decent flavor selection for hookah too. The green box kind.
