1st visit in many, many years. Our server, Bower, was excellent! We were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and this was the best place to be! Awesome NY Strips cooked to perfection; potato was fresh, salad bar was cold, fresh & delicious. I ordered a strawberry martini & it was the perfect starter to our meal. When we visit Boone, NC again, (we live in High Point), we will definitely be back...thank you for being the best!
Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants in Boone. It is bar far my favorite salad bar in town, best steaks(any everything) and the desserts are always sooo good! Also, friendliest staff around!!

The steak and lobster was amazing! The kids enjoyed shrimp, cheese sticks and the salad bar! The service was completely the best I have ever seen and had! Hands down!
Tried the prime rib for the first time. Excellent steak and service is always outstanding. We love this place and come every time we are in the area.
We ate here in July of 2020 and I have consistently recommended this chain to fellow steak people as one that needs to be checked out if you are in the area. The food was as good as any major chain but at a more budget friendly price point.
Because I consider this chain to be competitive with the likes of Tony’s or Jeff Ruby’s it doesn’t get the top service or atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong the service was good and the atmosphere was homey and nice.

Very good. We enjoyed the ribeye and a filet. I thought the filet had more flavor which it’s usually a ribeye. Made to order salad bar was awesome.
I will say the food wasn’t as good as I remember it being years ago but it was still delicious and the service was very good.
Our food was very good. I had the prime rib cut to order size, at the table. The steak was cooked to perfection; Rare with warm center as requested. The loaded bake potato cooked twice, on the side, was very good. I was able to create a salad with a menu. The inside appears recently remodeled and is very clean. Parking is limited.
Excellent meal. We really enjoyed the table side steak carving and the build your own salad options. Finished the meal an exquisite slice of cheesecake. I would definitely recommend giving the Peddler a try. We will be back.
This is by far my favorite steakhouse I’ve ever been to. There’s just something special about the peddler ribeye being cut table side. I would pick Peddler over any Ruth’s Chris, Charley’s, Berns, Papas Bros, or Capital Grill type steakhouse. I’ve tried them all and I stick with the Peddler.
Good steak, good sides and service, excellent menu design. It felt overpriced for the quality of the food. I felt like I was paying for the location and the name and not what I was eating. The service was better than the food.
Edit - the shrimp was served cold on top of the steak, and it also had more flavor than the steak. The meat was how we asked for outside of that.
Food was stellar! They've done away with the salad bar but you now ordered your salad from a salad bar style menu, then you can get "refills" or switch it up as many times as you'd like. Service was kind and attentive. One of our kids lost a tooth while there and was given a to-go sauce cup to carry it home and an ice cream sundae to celebrate 💜. Reservations should be made in advance when possible. We've been before and will definitely be back.
5 stars all the way! This was our first time. We went for our 18th anniversary. It did not disappoint. Mackenzie our waitress was the best ever!! We got Lemon cheesecake to go.
Hands down the BEST steakhouse EVER! From the drinks and fried mushrooms, to the salads, loaded potato's and steaks, EVERYTHING was OUTSTANDING. The service was top notch. Manager came to our table several times to make sure we were being taken care of. So glad we chose this place to celebrate our anniversary. Can't wait to go back!

Steaks were amazing. I had the 10oz ribeye, and the flavor was amazing. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. I also ordered the seasoned vegetables, which was Broccoli, and it had the perfect amount of "crunch" to it.
Very good steaks and salads. We had an issue where a steak was undercooked and the very nice lady made sure it was discounted and brought us a new one very quickly. We were treated very well and really enjoyed the food
My husband and I went last weekend and the food, atmosphere and service was phenomenal. Elizabeth was an outstanding server. We have been going here on and off for 33 years to celebrate our anniversary. We have not always made it back to “home” but when we are close we always make it to the Peddler in Boone.
I ordered take out. So that's the only reason I couldn't give atmosphere five stars. I ordered the prime rib , the color and texture was amazing. My only complaint about any of it was the au jus . It was very lacking in flavor. This is a huge part of prime rib and I know having alot is hard when making a prime rib but maybe you could add a little something. I'm from Tampa a huge foodie I know food! Lol but everything else was on point and very delicious. I will try the peddler again because we do not have a great steak place in the area.
Oh wow! Man from the time you walk in you know it's going to be good!!! It's a.sgame all restaurants aren't still run with this attention to detail!! The staff is in sync and works together like a Very well oiled machine. I had the ribeye and my wife had the new york strip. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious!!!
It was very welcoming immediately upon arrival. Our server was attentive, accommodating, and knowledgeable. You create your own salad and get unlimited opportunities to change the toppings or have the same one as it is an "endless" salad. Our party opted for the prime rib and filet mignon as our proteins, and they were cooked exactly to our requested temperatures. We did enjoy the bottle service table side on our bottle of wine, and we did not skimp on the dessert either. A perfect place to enjoy company or a celebration. Recommend highly by locals.
Outstanding service and oh my goodness the steaks will melt in your mouth you can cut it with a butter knife. My Husband and will be celebrating 🎉🎂🎈 25 years September 3 and this is where we had our wedding day today for a wonderful Dinner and plan on being there this year . Can't wait this means the world to me to celebrate 🥂 the best years of my life with my loving husband and best friend 😘❤️ .I will be so greatful to get the best table in the house when we ate there on our wedding day everyone bought us a drink 🍷🍻 and I could not believe just how many people have such great hearts 💕 .
