Met up with my adult kids for a quick bite after Apps graduation. Prices, atmosphere and our server/bartender was outstanding! The food and drinks were delicious! I will definitely visit again when back in the area.

Kind staff. This is a go-to spot for me in Boone for music and hanging out. Food is good. I'm vegetarian, and they have a cheap dish, "beans n' greens" if you don't wanna pay exorbitant prices elsewhere. Other pricing is somewhat standard for bar/pub food. It's a cool college town bar venue, so don't be a food snob expecting the Ritz. It can get crowded on a music night, especially if college is still in session, so don't freak out if you can't get your drink as soon as you want. They do good drinks and have a good selection of bottles and things on tap. The staff does a good job with what they're dealt with on packed nights, and I'm sure it can be a high stress environment. It's great running into people you know there, too. Anyone giving this place less than 4 stars needs a reality check.
Vibe is really awesome and it's the perfect location for a college. Right by the Appalachian State campus so if you're there to catch a game or just visiting make sure to stop here. Prices are extremely reasonable for food and beer. The seasoning on the pulled pork sandwiches really what sold me. Was not expecting something so good! Solid beer selection available as well as spirits.
Oh my god this place is incredible! Went here yesterday with my boyfriend and everything was wonderful! Staff was amazing, the food is to DIE for! And all around super affordable! We cant wait to come back!
Food was good as always, we each had a chicken sandwich with tots/fries. Tots are amazing here.
Service was ok. Servers were friendly but never checked to see how food was and never checked waters. They stayed behind the bar most of the time. (There were 2 bar customers)
Boone Saloon is an old run down college bar....it is what it is. If you are looking for something with a nice atmosphere, the saloon is probably not what you're looking for.
The bartender was very friendly. I accidentally forgot my wallet and of course I scrambled to find other payment options available on my phone. Fortunately, another patron offered to pay for my beers and I was able to send money to him electronically. All the while, bartender was more than understanding.
The craft beer selection is moderate, not great but I was able to find something that I enjoyed.
The environment is interesting. The upstairs is nice and cozy with the woodwork, but downstairs feels like a college frat house. I was there late at night with very few people around so it's hard to judge the environment without a crowd.

Planned on eating at an old favorite spot, but when those plans fell through it was nearing 2PM and many restaurants on King Street were closing. We ended up at Boone Saloon. We all enjoyed our food! Both the servers were very friendly. Boone Saloon has a really nice vibe. So glad we gave it a try!
The best part about this place is the bartenders. One in particular...shes always welcoming, friendly, upbeat, and attentive. She's patient when I ask to taste different things.

great food and drinks and the prices are so good! we spent all day hiking and wanted a laid back place to eat. super nice atmosphere, comfy booths, super fast service, and the food is amazing. definitely a hidden gem!
This is the kind of place where locals hang out. It’s totally underrated by the tourists. When there are lines at all the other Boone restaurants, we hit the Boone Saloon because for some reason the tourists just go to all the same places. The food is much better than your usual pub food and there is plenty of indoor seating and a nice deck, specially for people watching during First Fridays. A Boone institution.
This bar is the most consistent place in Boone. Forget the other places. The vibe is the most relaxed, while the service doesn't lack. Always a go-to when we visit Boone. Check out the downstairs for an extra good time.
What a great spot! We left another local place due to bad service and checked out the Boone Saloon. The food was great (wings, burgers, sandwiches, etc) and they had a variety of beers on tap to choose from. We will definitely be going back!
The service/ atmosphere is great, It was our 2nd time there, looking forward to be there again.The "Boonshine", is very delicious!!!
Hands down best bar, BEST STAFF, best drinks food ambiance people stools pool tables in Boone. Nowhere in this town compares to the good ole Boone saloon we love them Brittany is 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
