Step back in pre-Starbucks days and enjoy the atmosphere of a true coffee shop, including San Francisco coffe grinders, pour over/French Press coffee extravagance at its best. The aroma alone is worth a stop. This guy knows coffee and has a pedigree in coffee specialization. A full range of coffees sure to please all palettes. From full on bold roasts to lighter blondes etc. It's more of an event than a popin coffee experience.
This was my first time here, and I absolutely loved the vibe of the place. You can sit on the front porch and drink your coffee with a fantastic view. Plus, the roaster I talked with was very knowledgeable, and the coffee is very tasty with several different varieties roasted. I will definitely visit Bald Guy Brew again.
Awesome place. Cool atmosphere and probably the best coffee I’ve ever had. Could spend all day at this shop. Staff is super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Love our visit, will be back soon!
By far my favorite coffee shop in Boone. The owner and employees are so incredibly knowledgeable about coffee. They do not leave out a detail. Also has the best ambience of any coffee shop. My favorite time to go there is when it’s cooler outside and they have a fire in the stove. Owner is super down earth as well.

Like others have said, what a cool out of the way place with great coffee, espresso, and bagels..with a relaxing atmosphere. Very cool inside and a nice outdoor deck to sit and relax, taking in the view on a quiet day. Check it out!
Best coffee in Boone, hands down. It's no frills - don't come here for fancy drinks. But, if you want excellent, sustainable, single origin coffee, this is the place for you.
They also have muffins and bagels that are quite tasty, and some local meats for sale.
The inside is spacious and has a "mountain industrial" vibe, with a wood-burning stove, and lots of coffee gear.
We've been visiting the Blowing Rock location for years. We finally made it to this Boone location and we were not disappointed. Fresh coffee, amazing atmosphere, and great service. Thank you Shawn for the great conversation. Maybe I can finally meet the bald guy next time.
This is my favorite place to get coffee in all of the high country. The aroma of the coffee being roasted is absolutely phenomenal and the owner and employees are just amazing people. I meet here with friends regularly and we all love it!
