I came here once before when visiting my mother ages ago and remembered it being good, but I came the other day to bring a taste of jersey back to maryland for my fiancé and good lord I need to make a point of coming here every visit to boonton 😱
I had a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese for breakfast and it did not disappoint, especially with the ooey gooey cheese 🤤 I had half an Italian sub for lunch and the other half for lunch the next day, and it was essentially the perfect sub in every way, and it wasn’t all soggy and gross the next day either! As I was watching the employees work and saw the line grow and grow, I decided to get a chicken salad sandwich as well bc it’s hard to find a good one and yup…I found it. Seasoned perfectly and ADD BACON! Takes it to the next level.
Bread was clearly fresh and the perfect consistency, meat and cheese in abundance, and the people working there were incredibly friendly and worked fast!
MUST VISIT! Coming from a born-and-raised new jersian turned Marylander who mourns the loss of easy access to a good sub.
The BEST taylor ham egg and cheese in the area. Also love their Italian subs. They made us a great sub for a football Sunday that my boyfriend and I hosted. The owner and the rest of the crew are the nicest most accommodating people!
This place came in clutch when I was looking for a deli that opened early so we could have sandwiches for Six Flags! Absolutely wonderful! They're so kind and fun! Great start to the day - also the food was damn good too!
The carver ham and cheese on bagel i ordered was the best I’ve had. Not sure if it was the ham or the bagel but the flavor combination was unlike anything dunkin or starbucks could emulate. This is the new standard for my breakfast sandwiches. Thank you greatly for a wonderful breakfast!!
the best. I love OTD. Famous for their Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese. But if you haven't had it yet you have to try a Cheese Steaks-Hot Cherry Peppers, Onions, Provolone, Pepper, and Ketchup. Cheese Steak Bob
Been going here for a few decades! Can't beat the Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich! Voted NJ best for a reason. Nice old school sub sandwiches as well. Opens at 530 am which is nice for commuters. Right across the street from the train station as well.
Great place to eat! Very good Taylor ham egg and cheese, Italian sub, cheese stake , and home fries! if you’re in the Booton area I highly Recommend eating there
These folks make a great sub. Fresh sliced cuts. Bread that isn't too soft. Tastes great. The bread wasn't even soggy when I ate the leftovers!
I love the staff very homely and very friendly and they always have my order ready on time. This is my new go to on my way to work. ❤️😎
This is one eggscellent THE&C! Four slices of well-griddled Taylor ham, egg, and melted cheese doesn't get any better than this.

Found this place online when looking for a lunch stop on drive from Cape Cod to NC and it didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff and great food. Bread was fresh and meats were excellent. I will definitely stop here again when I can.
They definitely have a great taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. But definitely you have to request that they kill the taylor ham. What I mean about that is well done. Nobody like eating it raw.

Wow I am astonished. This was my first time having a taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich with salt pepper ketchup on it and I feel like I have met Jesus and his disciples. Every bite I took made me want to cry tears of happiness. The staff was also super nice. They said that they liked my shirt and that made me feel good. They also sold Yoo-hoo and I have been looking for the chocolate beverage for about a year after 7-11 stopped selling it. Come to this establishment and give them all of your money!
Been a Pillar of the local dining experience for 30 Plus years. One of the LAST MOHICAN S as far as The Deli scene. I saw a review stating Olde Towne got an order with Grits wrong? Was that person even in New Jersey ?.....lol. OTD is my Fall back for THEC sandwich in the AM
Came in for the first time into old Town deli today and got a Taylor ham and cheese and definitely one of the best sandwiches I've ever had I recommend this place also the gentleman that served and took care of me was very polite and a great guy will definitely be coming back
Solid sandwich shop. Quick service & consistent choice flavors. No frills, all thrills. Like a good dive bar, it seems off putting at first glance but very quickly you realize, you rather not go anywhere else.
