The service was great, but the food was even better. Our server was very nice. The place is nice and clean. I recommend anything from their menu. On my last visit I got the lamb chops. They come in lollipop style where they wrap the end of the chop in foil paper so you won’t get your hands dirty. Overall, our experience was super good. I recommend visit this place. You won’t regret it.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience dining at Uzbekistana Restaurant this evening. The flavors were fantastic. We asked our waitress for recommendations as it was our first time trying traditional Uzbeki food and WOW was it great!! Samsa, Chachvera, Kazan Lamb, Taug Plov- everything was spectacular. We will certainly return again and tell our friends about this spot!

Fell in love with the amazing food. Never had Uzbek food before till this restaurant, and I have been missing out. Their lamb dumpling soup is out of this world. Everything here was extremely amazing, and the lady / owner is extremely nice and down to earth! Hands down amazing food!

it was my birthday dinner and we wanted to have Mediterranean food. we always try new joints (especially those owned by locals). we live nearby and we saw this restaurant whenever we cross Boonton main street. So it was tough finding when we reached there and then we got to know its been moved but same street (like 200-300 feet far) anyway, we reached. it was Thursday evening, the restaurant was almost empty, only 2 tables were occupied. the server came and we placed our order Hummus with pita bread - it was amazing, I would definitely recommend any sort of hummus from their menu, but do try. - 4.5/5 Lamb chops - I asked for well done, but when it came I can say with full confidence, that it was medium rare. I asked the chef, and tell them it was not well done, but as per them, it's Uzbekistani way, and in their cooking style, it's well done. they did mention every spice and all - but I was not satisfied. though I could have asked for a replacement, but I don't believe in wasting food. there was 4 piece that comes with sides. I chose marinated onion and brown rice. after finishing 3 pieces, 4th piece was hard to chew. - 2.5/5 Chicken Kufta Kebab (spicy)- glad my wife enjoyed her meal. The only spice item was this kebab and by my standard it was mild. no worries, it was good, 2 big skewers filled with chicken kebab with fries and brown rice. it was soft-juicy and amazing. 4.5/5 except for the kebab, the meal was great, ambiance (as you can see from my pics) - was soothing and good. yeah, I can recommend this. I would definitely try their local cuisine next time.

I was so glad when Uzbekistana moved to their new location because we could never find parking at the old one. Now they have a parking lot and large dining room finished with traditional furnishings. This restaurant is family-owned and family-run and after a few visits you will feel like a member of the family. We dine here at least once a week and recommend EVERYTHING on the menu! Start with the Mediterranean Delight for an appetizer, Chuchvera soup (mini lamb dumplings in broth) and the Bokhara Plov (lamb shank which falls off the bone and melts in your mouth) or the Dimlama Til (veal tongue - don't knock it until you've tried it!) or the perfectly seasoned and prepared kebabs for your meal. If you have any room left, finish with the baklava and a pot of Jasmine Tea. The service is friendly and top notch. The owners are on-site cooking and greeting their customers and always ready to answer any questions you may have. Give this place a try...I can personally guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

Very happy I came. It is a very cute family owned restaurant. Some other reviews talked about slow or bad service. They are young and smiling. That is not bad service. What do you expect from a family owned restaurant. They do have some Mediterranean (non Uzbek) food, but they tell you that before you come(name of the restaurant). Overall great experience, great place. I would recommend.

My two friends and I were delighted with the food, the portions, and the friendly (not necessarily speedy) service. As my friend said, “This is not the place to go if you’re in a hurry.” I had the lamb kabobs and they were perfectly cooked to my medium rare request. Very tender. I ordered the chickpea side dish, which was a little spicy for my taste, but someone else might think it added a nice spark of spice to compliment the simply grilled meat. Hummus was delicious and served in a generous portion. My friends chose from the authentic dishes page of the menu and were very happy with what they got. Unfortunately, we were too full to find out what the desserts were. I suspect they would have been great.

Really good food and excellent service. Tried them for the first time recently and I can 100% recommend them to anyone in the area, it's worth trying. My first time with Uzbek food so I can't comment on the authenticity, but I was very happy with what I got.

Here is my take on this place. And for the most part, it is a favorable review. Pros- the food tastes excellent. I had the lamb kebabs and bought an extra beef skewer to try it. I picked the marinated onions and mashed potatoes to go with it (you pick two sides). The taste was excellent. The white sauce that comes with it was equally as good. So much so I could have drank a cup of that alone! The lady had a noodle dish that was also very tasty. The atmosphere is really cool as well. Flavor alone, I would come back and bring a friend to have them taste the food. Cons- the waitress, while very pleasant and nice, wasn't the most attentive. We were there a bit longer than we cared for waiting to have plates cleared and the check brought over. I blame it more on her being very young and this could be her first job in that sense. I wish the portion size was a little bigger for the meal but that is just my opinion as the girlfriend loved her meal and even brought some home with her. Lastly, one extra skewer (beef) we were charged 8 50 for. That is a very pricey single skewer to me. With all that said, I still think it was worth the visit. I just won't be coming often (because I am poor). Would recommend to anyone looking for some place new to try

I've been going here since last yr after every couple of months, their food is absolutely amazing!! The staff is very friendly as well!!! Their chicken kebab with marinated onions and potatoes, and chicken kofta kebab are absolutely amazing. We've also tried their lamb and that's really good as well. The chicken shorba was really good with the rice!! Definitely recommend !!

Quite lovely, delightfully informative and delicious food! The service was pleasant and the young woman shared a lot of Uzbek tidbits with us throughout the night. If you enjoy tea at all, we recommend the black tea! It has the wonderful flavor of lychee which gives the black tea some character and went well with our meal. We started with samsas and the Uzbek version of pelmeni dumplings. The meat for both was light and not heavy, the phyllo of the samsas were crisp and the compotes/sauces on the dumplings were creamy and flavorful. The borscht was tasty with a light sour cream. There was no bread as part of the dish, so make sure to order some! This version was beef base with a lot of matchstick beets and seasonings. Our main meal was the Lamb Plov and the Beef Plov. They were both fantastic and not fat-heavy(which is more traditional). We were silent except for lots of Mmmmms as we started this part of the meal, it was just too good to not be eating initially. We ended with a takeout dessert due to being quite full and satisfied. Apparently the desserts alter, this time it was Baklava. We will return in the future. It was a great all around experience and worth the 1hr ride out to Boonton. Thank you Uzbekistana! Note: We went on a rainy Sunday night, so we were essentially the only ones there.

My friend dining with us exclaimed, multiple times, "this is the most underrated restaurant in Boonton." I think that tells you everything you need to know, except one more pro-tip: get the Kazan Chicken (or Lamb). You'll thank me later.
