Pillar , owner & proprietor, is a beautiful soul & makes the best Empanadas in Boonville. Check it out, we recommend everything in her Cafe.
Mosswood Market is a true gem nestled in Anderson Valley, and our experience there was nothing short of exceptional. After discovering their tantalizing empanadas last year, we were determined to revisit this charming spot. The Bacon with Goat Cheese and Chorizo empanadas quickly became our favorites, boasting flavors that danced on our taste buds. Beyond empanadas, their pastry selection offers a delightful array of treats. What truly sets Mosswood Market apart is the warm and genuine hospitality of Pilar, who greets every guest with an infectious smile. It's evident that this family-owned establishment puts love and passion into every bite. Five stars without a doubt!
Had a delicious pastry to start my morning there the other day. And then I got a few empanadas to go. They were awesome. Flaky crust and delicious insides. Definitely going back!
The very BEST in the USA! 10 Stars ⭐️!!! Bakery: every item is fresh, tasty, not salty, not overly sweet. Very healthy! Sandwiches & Coffee are delicious! Service is consistently excellent! The owner employs local young people, relatives and family members who work harmoniously to make Mosswood Market a great experience every time. Customers young and old are treated with respect and deep care, beautiful diversity, what a loving place Mosswood Market is!
Had a macchiato and a brownie. Had indoor and outdoor seating, with very nice views of the mountains and the main street of town. The staff was friendly and courteous. Talk to a couple people who were eating said the food was very good. Prices for reasonable.
We loved this place! The food is amazing. The service is great, everyone is friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is wonderful, we sat outside to enjoy the coffee and the incredible scones. We will be back again!
Visited during Covid. We sampled pastries, blueberry cornbread muffin and blackberry scone on our way home from Fort Bragg. The coffee was also delicious. Empanadas looked to die for we just couldn’t fit them in. The baker is local, she lives nearby. We’ll definitely be back to sample other goods.
Love this place. The empanadas and soups are terrific and the people who work here are amazeballs.
Very pleasant local place to stop for breakfast. Good coffee and a tasty selection of baked goods.
my favorite go-to spot in town. all of the empanadas are amazing, pastries are delicious. the ladies who work there are lovely and pilar, the owner, is a sweetheart.
love you always, mosswood
Very friendly, nice little morning place. Fresh pastries, a lovely owner, casual relaxed place to sit and have coffee.
I ate all the empanadas at this gem. Literally. I bought everything they had when I left. House salad was excellent, too. Super friendly staff? Yep, five stars.
The atmosphere was very nice and the sweets were very good
What I liked the most my sweets were not sweet, they were just perfect
Love it here. Love their reading corner even more. Great place to get your day started. Grab a coffee and some delicious pastry and get going.
The empanadas are AMAZING! Highly recommend getting one of each kind when you're there. They make a great breakfast and they are seasoned so well that you absolutely do not need salsa or any other hot sauce to eat with it. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Mosswood market is more restaurant than Market. They are famous for their empanadas which are quite tasty. This is a breakfast and lunch place, no dinner served. Has an old country town feel but the food is top-notch.
Great little cafe/bakery in the center of Boonville. While driving to or from the coast and visiting wineries here in the Anderson Valley...This Cafe is an excellent stop for a bite to eat and picking up some goodies. The gals working here are also friendly and great customer service. Excellent!
Super cozy with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great and friendly staff and my traditional panini paired well with a blueberry cheese danish! Not to mention the incredible dressing on the salad. Will definitely be back!
I had the chorizo/potato/goat cheese empanada and my wife had the blueberry/cheese pastry. Both were delicious and together cost $7. They must use a lot of butter for the pastry to taste so good.
