My girlfriend and I went to Fat Baby for the first time tonight. I had seen it mentioned many times on social media. Its quite hip and trendy - And im happy to report that the food is decent. Brussel Sprouts: Good Short Rib dumplings: Decent Pork Bun: Excellent Pad Thai: Doesnt taste like Pad Thai. It tastes more like a "drunken" noodle dish youd find at Thai restaurants. Poke Bowl: Decent Its a very cool spot. Good for a date or for hipsters. The music is too loud. Give it a try.

To be more specific, it's more like 4.7 stars. Nearly the best ever! It was so delicious. The decoration is beautiful. The seating is nice. There's a bar and tables. I got a reservation and I'm glad I did. After 5 it was packed. The sushi was to die for. And so were the bao buns. The crab fried rice was way more than your typical every day fried rice, it was so luxurious and delicious. I loved the drinks. Their G&Tea was everything I've ever wanted out of life and more. You can really taste the lavender. It's really one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. Definitely a new favourite. There's also outdoor seating that's excellent for nice days. The only things I didn't enjoy as much is the boneless spare ribs because they were way too salty. And the dumplings are already in a bed of soy sauce and soy sauce takes over all other delicate flavours of the dumplings. It's much better to have soy sauce on the side so you can decide how much you want. Even with those two complaints it really is among the best restaurants I've been to.

Amazing everything. Not from the USA, but it was great to have such great service. Very friendly staff. Portions of food were more than generous for the price. The drinks were a bit more on the alcoholic side, but I'd rather have more alcohol in one drink than having to order another.

The food here was delicious. I got the vegetable lo mein and an Avocado roll. Both were delicious and they have a nice cocktail menu here too. The decor and the bathrooms are both nice too. There was no wait for lunch on a Saturday too.

Really good food. Quite noisy and the service is pretty slow.

Great place. It was quite crowded (and loud) when we came in, around 7:30pm, though the atmosphere was great. The food was amazing. The crab rangoons could be filled a little more, and the sauce was slightly too sweet, but they were still delicious. The rainbow maki roll was great, too.

Really great fresh dishes. Plenty of vegetarian options and I'm a big fan of the thai peanut salad. It's crunchy and has great flavor. A friend and I sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation. Service was good, but not terribly friendly or hospitable. I've had delivery from here and it was solid as well.

Wow to the Bao! The dumplings hold their own. You can’t go wrong with the drinks as well. The service is good, but the food is great. Worth a try

Would 100% recommend to anyone. Always super welcoming and great service. I’m a huge fan of the short rib chow mein and strawberry margaritas. Best crab Rangoons I’ve ever had. Decently priced menu items and overall great atmosphere.

My friend and I came here pretty late in evening yesterday so the place wasn’t too busy. The restaurant itself is so cute and the music was good. Our server was friendly and the food and drinks came out quickly. I really liked my drink: the Perfect Pear, it tasted delicious! The food was hot and fresh but lacked flavor. The portion size of the Orange Chicken was huge, which is a plus. And my friend LOVED the Honey Sriracha Wings. Overall, solid experience. Worth a try if you are in the area looking for good drinks and a quick bite.

it’s a nice sushi restaurant with after-work vibes. The Maki days means unlimited rolls. It was a bit slower, but we found out at the end that it was because they only charged us for one between my husband and I because we also got a soup… so it was a bit of a steal. Since it’s unlimited sushi rolls, it’s definitely not A+ sushi quality and I’ve had much better in Boston, but it’s still a good time. I recommend sitting near the windows on the inside - it’s a nice blend of indoor and outdoor but has surprisingly good acoustics too and I could actually hear my husband well.

A solid Asian fusion place with a young crowd and lively atmosphere. Honestly nothing special but a solid place to go if you’re looking for a good meal for decent prices that isn’t standard American in the area. I personally preferred actual entree dishes over the sushi selection.

Crab rangoon and bao were great, but the boneless spareribs just tasted awful. The sushi was pretty mid, too. Great drinks. Difficult to talk with people at the other end of the table because of the noise level, but it was a Friday evening in Southie so...

We had a great lunch at Fat Baby’s. We loved the tuna poke and the pork belly buns. Great service too. We will be back!
