By far the best crab Rangoon!! Very delicious house lo mein & beef w/mushrooms!! Been looking for a great Chinese place and I found it! Oh and I originally called for delivery, and they said it would be 45 min because they were busy (it is Friday night), and so I said I would just pick it up and they said oh, then 10-15 min. Yay!!!
Outstanding. Portions are very big, especially for the price. Didn't call ahead, and took 20 minutes for my food from order to out the door.
Bomb late nite food. Im 35 now, i grew up in rosi and westy both, hanging at billings field drinking and generaly causing a ruckus, we would all go to west garden for food. they give you a ton of food. my best friend loved it cuz id never finish mi8ne and hed always get a huge dinner for free. west garden brings back a lot of memorys for me. this place has been a constant for 20 years it seems. awsome grub
Great food and service. I've been coming here for a while and they're great food and service never disappoints me. Their general gau chicken, barbecued spareribs, scallion pancakes, and many others, are just delicious !
I'll continue to come here and I recommend this to anyone who likes Chinese food.

My meal was delicious. I can’t speak for service directly or atmosphere as I had the food delivered via Uber Eats, but this was almost precisely what I wanted and I am a hard customer to please.
My two misgivings are that the crab rangoons were a tad soggy on the bottom, and the broccoli in the general Gau’s chicken was a little tough.
However whatever the detractors, the positives far outweigh them. The chicken, though white meat which is usually not my fave, was prepared and fried perfectly and was both juicy inside and crispy outside. The amount of sauce was just right. Four rangoons came with the combo meal which seems reasonably generous, filling tasted just right. I also upgraded the combo with a second app accompaniment— got an egg roll which was just right with cabbage and pork filling. Duck sauce was not too sweet and had that nice hint of fruit flavor that reminds me of applesauce— just right. Fried rice was not mushy nor was it dry, just right, with a wonderful little bit of smokiness/molasses flavor, a little bean sprout and a sprinkling of nice pork pieces.
Base price excluding delivery fees and tip for the driver was around $20 and it’s easily enough for two filling meals (The photo i included was after I ate half at least).I look forward to trying other dishes in future!
As a long time resident of Westie, I have utilized West Garden for Chinese cuisine for many years. The management has changed a few times, but the current owners and staff are the very best. Their food is always extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Their friendly and courteous service is superior to others.
The freshest made to order food made in front of you. I have been coming here since high school. 32 now and if I'm ever in the area I have to stop by. The owner is an amazing father and was always so nice and welcoming to my friends and I. Love West Garden!
Salt and pepper shrimp are good but really spicy and crab Rangoon is decent. So far this place has been the best for Chinese fast food in W. Roxbury. It seems there aren’t good places around here for Chinese food.

Best sweet and sour chicken finger sauce, no joke. I've eaten food all across this country and this has the best pink sauce.
This Asian restaurant in my opinion has the top shelf House special fried rice, accompanied with lobster sauce, and a side of chicken wings (Chinese style). Which is also one of my favorite dishes to order from this establishment. Not to mention the boneless spare ribs there are also great with meal. I heard they deliver which is good, but I wonder there range covers my local (not sure what the distance/range of delivery is). Which would sure make change the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Worth the trip though.

We love that everything is freshly made and that they don't bread and fy everything. For example: the General gau's chicken is served as full chicken breasts, no fried breading, steamed broccoli (ask for light sauce). We also love the steamed shrimp and broccoli.
A couple of drawbacks to set expectations... Sometimes they are hard to understand on the phone, and the location isn't great for eat in, but it doesn't bother us for takeout!
I've been a patron of West Garden ever since the Chinese shop nearest to be closed approx. 10 years ago. West Garden is a good 10 minute drive for me, but is very much worth the hassle for a treat every now and again. Prices are reasonable and normal for a Chinese restaurant, and food quality is very good. Their crab rangoons and crispy beef are my favorites.
It's great for the key things I look for, non greasy rice, good crab rangoons, not all fatty boneless ribs, and OK orange chicken. They're better than most, IMO, at cheap quick American Chinese food.
The food here is amazing. The best Chinese food I have ever had. It's reasonably priced. I give it four stars bcoz of the owner is an ignorant pr*ck. Everyone else working there is fine except him.
Small restaurant/take out in West Roxbury on Centre Street. Quick service, Great food, mix h match...full meals....put put platters....tastes of China, Mandarin, Thai, hot and not, lunch specials, soups.....Fish dishes...Vegetarian dishes.....The Works....they even take special orders.
Got to go....Great Place!

So hard to find this style of pre 1970 Chinese food any more. No atmosphere, but who cares? Best fried rice and egg rolls anywhere! Yum, yum, yum!!
Good food in Town I have been tried many in city this is the one I want reasonable price good staff and also changed the new owner. Recommend to eat.
Every time I call the same guy picks up and is EXTREMELY POLITE! I don't know how he does it but for years he is always upbeat,kind, and in an awesome mood every time he answers the phone!
