I just popped in cause it was open and happy I gave it a shot. The food was made on the spot I don’t think I waited longer than 4 minutes for each plate. The shrimp shumai was so fresh and not fried or too breaded. The lunch sushi deal came with soup and 2 rolls for $11! Also fried the avocado salad which was njce and light. 5/5 and the workers were all pleasant and happy to serve. Will definitely visit once I’m back in Boston
The ingredients are very fresh, the mango sushi tastes so good and is unforgettable. The street view is very beautiful at night!
Friendly, polite service and great food, quickly prepared. I've had the scallion pancakes (comes with a soy sauce type of sauce), spring rolls (comes with a kind of sweet and sour sauce), and the avocado smoothie. I'd definitely recommended all of them.
The scallion pancakes are fried to a crisp on the outermost layer but otherwise chewy. The spring rolls are savory and moist with a crispy shell. The avocado smoothie is perfectly creamy and sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
It hasn't been busy at all when I visited around dinnertime, and it's always clean and neat in the restaurant.
Nice clean restaurant where you can place your order for takeout online for an easy pickup and beat the lunch rush. I almost always get the Chicken Katsu when I go here for lunch - it always hits the spot. Food is very high quality and you can see the cooks making it behind the cashier.
Great food, and nice owner. They moved inside fire & Ice, but still highly recommend this place for sushi.
Small and simple Japanese restaurant that is family owned and managed. Service is excellent: friendly, fast, and accurate. I live nearby and order from this place all the time. My takeout orders are always ready when I arrive. Prices are low - well below any fancy sushi restaurant. Excellent sushi and low prices - what more could you want?
Samurai Express is special for me because of the great hospitality I received from the business owner himself Mr. Andy. Back in 2017, the first time I entered the restaurant looking for some vegetarian options. I had sore throat that day & the business owner Mr. Andy suggested me to have a soup that would make my soar throat feel better. Upon my request he agreed to make me a vegetarian soup but, he made it in such a special way with ginger & garlic and that soup really made me feel much better! Thank You Mr. Andy for great hospitality!
I primarily ordered take out from here but have also been here for lunch. Their bento-box is quite good, especially the unagi one. Call ahead if ordering takeout. During lunch they have a two-roll special that's reasonably priced. I wouldn't say they make great sushi, but it's hard to find better for the price and location. One thing I dislike is that when you dine-in, you'll end up smelling like food.
Nice and clean restaurant. I believe the main guy's wife cooks most of the stuffs. Excellent service and owners are very congenial. I had pork fried rice and it was awesome. Definitely will go there again.
Although the name and location might turn you off a bit, don't let that stop you because they have delicious options at really good prices and I have never had a wait.
I travel for work so I visit all kinds of places different cities and states and this is one of my favorite..Best Sushi in town
Dont listen to this ninja Yong, he's just in his feelings... This place is fire!!! Recommend either the Chicken Katsu or a roll lunch. Very nice people as well!
Great sushi, excellent service!
Bonus: Gluten free soy sauce available on request.
FOOD IS GREAT! PRICES ARE REASONABLE! NICE STAFF! They also have Chinese-Japanese fusion type of food.
Pretty decent selections of rolls and sushi/sashimi and we enjoyed everything we ordered.
