I rarely write reviews unless the experience stood out positively or negatively, but man did this one stand out. The girlfriend picked it for a quick bite while we were passing through the area. Looking at the menu it seemed like your typical new age trendy coffee shop. Prices were on the higher side but about par for the area and type of place it presents as. I was expecting a average “upscale” sandwich and salad but I was BLOWN AWAY. The panini came on a huge chunk of fresh bread that was among the best I’ve ever had and the combination of flavors was excellent. The salad had excellent presentation and an abundance of the add-ins, not just lettuce sprinkled with the good stuff. Everything was fresh tasting and the portions were perfect. The barista that took the order, made the coffee, and brought out the food was amazingly friendly and helpful. We have an allergy and she was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and even offered substitutes which most places don’t do. The fact that the salad could have the ingredients modified means the salad is actually mixed fresh - a surprisingly rare occurrence.
We sat in the patio which was very comfy and clean. It looks like it has heaters for cold weather and an awning for rain which I was impressed with the forethought. The train does run right behind your head occasionally but nothing to fault the restaurant for.
Overall, I was WAY more impressed than I was expecting to be. The execution of everything was spot on. It deserves way more recognition than it has by the reviews here; most of the negative ones seem to be from a while ago so they must have changed ownership or changed the place up. We’re already planing excuses to come back through the area just to stop here again.
I needed to make sure I had been here a full 3 times before reviewing. I am happy to say that I have now completed that task. Simpli is a solid coffee and light fare shop. I'm always a little sad that they don't have a full fresh baked goods menu, but you can't have everything I suppose. The coffee is solid and the people are friendly. I've really enjoyed the various flatbreads and other small bites. They carry soy and almond milk, always a plus in my book. Parking is easy and the outdoor seating is great on warmer days. Nice to have in the neighborhood.
Delicious thin pizza. Fresh hamburgers. Serves liquor in a casual atmosphere. Interesting outdoor eating area with couches and coffee table.
Can seat large party of 10 people outside. Bring people from out of town, they'll get a kick out of the occasional subway sound passing by. Super nice waiters and waitresses.
Very cozy place. The combination of a coffee shop and bar with full liquor has gained me as a costumer. You don't find this combo very often.
I'm European and I love a nice esspresso after my meal.

Really beautiful spot. Very nice barista. Even though they ran out of smoked salmon, she was so courteous, I just had an espresso and chocolat croissant. Such a nice place to pop-in on my walk. Well done. See you guys again.
Very friendly staff and a variety of food served all day. They have a back patio that is nice and they also make cold-brew coffee. Their bar is also stocked with high quality beers and spirits.
This restaurant is awesome!!!! The service is great and the food is great. My young daughters (ages 10,9 and 7) love it there. They keep asking me to go back. The server was very friendly. Excellent customer service.

We eat here regularly - so much that William (one of the waiters/managers) - remembers to bring a side of chipotle aioli on the side for my boyfriend every time. Just an example of what outstanding people work here and the quality of service they provide. Yes, the menu is limited but everything on it is delicious. They took away the breakfast flatbread at one point when they were redesigning the menu, not only did William offer to make it for us, but they eventually brought it back. The drinks are great, although we are typically here for breakfast/brunch but they will make just about anything you ask for whether it's on the menu or not within reason, of course. One time they were out of prosciutto for a sandwich and William went across the street to the co-op to get some. Amazing. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination (though the outside seating has patio heaters and a super-cool motorized awning) but it's the perfect roll-out-of-bed-for-food location. We refer to this as "our spot" but it's so awesome that I'm willing to share.
I am a little addicted to Simpli Bar & Bites. I generally try to make it to brunch at least one a weekend. And the Orange Line cocktail is to die for. Great service, cozy, neighborhoods atmosphere and really great food.
We had espressos and desserts here last night (cannot remember the name of the desert), but it was really good. I liked the ambience and the people behind the bar were really nice.
Not bad - very limited selection at any given time, but that's what they advertise. Good drinks, nice atmosphere and outside patio (if you don't mind the train 3 feet from your head every now and then!). I'll be back!
Great spot if you want a drink at a quiet chill bar. Sit in the back patio for a more intimate date. Wings are delicious and try the chili sauce with them!
