Great old school bar, pool table, music hood drinks and amazing food!

For me! The Cavan House has always been "The Cavan House" for me and my generation It has always been the bar next to the other bar. Regardless of which one of the two bars you were sitting in.. and introduced to 'me, myself and I" (yes all three of me)
by the generation before us, and passed on to the next generation after US. I have always been greeted with smiles and hellos by everybody in that House. And that continuing camaraderie that I felt the first time I was ever in there is still the same to this day.. Thanks to Paullywog lol and Ralph. But mostly from the Bartenders that have worked there over the last 50 years. The Good People and Good Friends that still frequent this establishment are all top shelf. I am very fortunate to still be part of that Hyde Park history. to this day I will not go through Hyde Park without stopping in to say Hello. . And I take those smiles with me wherever I go. Stop in for a cocktail with lunch of course. And you can leave with one of those famous "Cavan House" Smiles!.. Ty Jimmy James Guido
Cozy and accessible good crowd when I was there . if they tightened up their drink menu, it'd be good for everyone the bartenders were very pleasant
Went for Saturday night karaoke with Karry Your Own Key. So much fun!
I'm telling you I was wrong about this place. I thought it was going to ghetto but it wasn't at all. They were the kindest people I have ever met in a bar. They were so friendly and calm. I ordered chicken and fries it was delicious. The chef was very nice and went the extra mile by giving me lots of napkins and condiments. The dj was phenomenal she was super sweet and accommodating to everyone's tatte in music
Great local dive with a lot of fun characters. You wouldn’t expect it but the food is actually great here. My wife is as picky as it gets with buffalo tenders and Leroy’s Kitchen (menu attached) has the best in the area. Love coming here for a nice bud latte and some takeout
I love this place you can play pool you can play Lottery you can buy your scratch tickets from the machine they have food they have an ATM and Nancy the bartender is one of my favorites

Cozy little bar and eatery equipped with pool table, jukebox and live DJ on some nights. Be careful bartender will ask you what your drinking so fast you might think it's being bought by someone else lol ..
The wings are the best i ever had, a little heavy on salt but if they use a little less salt. Award winning, fried to the bone with love
The food was amazing and they give you a good portion for the price. Nice place to have a drink, good food and listen to music. Great atmosphere with a mixed crowd. People are friendly.
Great staff, cheap beer, pool, but SUPER townie. Everyone seemed incredibly nice, fortunately, however definitely the bar you wouldn't want to stumble into wasted - especially if you're not a regular.
Nice out of the way spot. Not crowded. Great drinks. Try the jolly rancher yum very strong but sweet

Friday nights at the Cavan Cafe is the new Slades of Hyde Park. Double bar upstairs and downstairs. There's a DJ, DJ GREGG. Spinning old and new school R&B Hip Hop!!!!
