We will come back again
We ate dinner at the restaurant. We got a family meal. It was plenty to feed the 5 of us. We enjoyed trying their homemade BBQ sauces. I also got a side salad and the BBQ vinaigrette was really good!! We all really liked the cheesy potatoes. Our server/cook was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We will definitely be back.
Today was my first time eating at Bob's, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Ultimate Brisket Sundae, and it was packed full of flavor! It consists of a layer of sweet corn casserole topped with slow-roasted, smoked beef brisket, sautéed onions, diced tomatoes, Lancaster Smoky-Chili BBQ sauce and BBQ remoulade. Run and get yourself some now!!!
First time coming here after this restaurant was recommended. We will definitely be coming back! All the food was amazing, and the service was great too.

Awesome food. We had the PULLED PORK & PULLED CHICKEN... EXCELLENT! Staff was so nice. Extra friendly. Great service and great food. We will visit again.
New for us! Hubby brought us here for lunch today. We were greeted with a welcome as we entered. Pete walked us through the menu. He described the food and answered our questions about the food. We both ordered the Bob's BBQ Monte Cristo, which is a pulled chicken, garlic aioli, sweet barbecue, sauteed onions, and swiss cheese. My sides were the Mac and Cheese and corn casserole while he got the slaw and fries. The sandwich was pretty OMG on the flavor. So many layers hit your palate sequentially, the smokey, tang, sweet and garlic. Chicken very tender. The mac&chz and corn casserole had an underlying hint of sour cream which was good. The slaw was not very sweet but a subtle tang. Overall, definitely tasty, delicious food. This is a must when in Lancaster! We will Definitely be back!!!
We went there for our first time and wow we were not disappointed! Bob’s Mac and Moo sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve had from anywhere in a very long time! The service was great, the atmosphere was great, definitely no complaints!
Bob’s catered my wedding. I got SOOOO many compliments on how amazing the food was. They were so awesome to work with and helpful in every way. Highly recommend!
The last 2 times I have actually ordered food from here, it has been super disappointing. All you get are small pieces of meat. Then, it is wrapped in paper. The pulled pork had some nasty stuff in it. Horrible idea/concept. I will never order from here again if it does not change.
I went to two different barbecue restaurants in Logan Ohio and they were not available. It stated that there was a 2-hour wait. So I Googled best barbecue in Lancaster and it suggested Bob's Backyard Barbecue. I love their Smokey BBQ sauce on pulled chicken sandwich. The cheesy potatoes were perfect. I'm the type of person that will tell you if your food is not good. It would have been better if the restaurant was not cold. It was extremely freezing in the restaurant so we went up the street to watch a movie at Zane Square (Veteran's Park). It was a great experience. I would have had a better time if it were not for three obnoxious and rude kids. They were like nails on a chalkboard. The top of kids that know they were bad and still continued to be obnoxious.
BBQ sauces were great. Pulled pork sandwich could have had more meat, but very good. Sides (beans, fries, cheese taters) were good. I would go back.
Checked on their Food Truck today. Talked with Tim. Said they have been in business fy about 3 1/2 yrs. Ordered the Mac and Moo sandwich. It had big thick brisket, you taste the pepper from the bark, it was nice and moist. A little lacking in the smoke flavor though. It also had some very cheesy Mac n cheese, also fried onions on toasted bread. Very filling sandwich. Also had the Cole slaw which is made with mayo and vinegar, had a nice smooth taste to it. Also got the cornbread pudding which is similar to what City BBQ makes, just a little dry but it did have all the main ingredients for it.
Three words: Dressed. Pulled. Pork.
How I've never had that combination of comfort food deliciousness together before this is strange but Bob's nailed it! The Lancaster smoky sauce is icing on a cake of perfect pulled pork that I've never wanted to savor and inhale at the same time! Their coleslaw is simple and creamy with a hint of sweet and the corn casserole is done just right. Service was quick and the staff was very nice. I highly recommend visiting!
The sides and the meats were delicious! Highly recommend the cheesy potatoes and corn bread casserole. The smoke bbq sauce was the tastiest one in my option out of the 3 that are on the table.
