We went there for breakfast. The pastry basket was warm and delicious. The scramble had amazing lemon ricotta cheese mixed it which completely opened my world. The home fries are perfectly crispy on all sides with a great texture inside. The service is spectacular. The bar drinks are amazing! I highly recommend stopping for food here!
Four of us traveled to Brattleboro on a Sunday morning, and since we'd heard good things about Duo Restaurant, we chose that as our brunch destination. Parking was easy to locate nearby. We found the interior of the restaurant to be quite inviting with its openness and unusual melding of the original - tin ceilings and brick walls - with the contemporary wall decor and lighting. The host and wait staff were very pleasant, providing chilled water for us without having to be asked for it. The menu offered a dozen different dishes as well as sides and a bread board, and several piqued my interest. I ordered coffee and a mimosa, and I decided on the Farmhouse Omelet served with crispy potatoes. My mimosa tasted like it was made with fresh orange juice, a delicious surprise. The omelet, with sliced cherry tomatoes, diced pancetta, and herbed goat cheese, was perfectly cooked and not overwhelming in size. Crispy is the right word for the delightful potato chunks crunchy on the outside and still tender on the inside. Not one morsel remained on my plate at the end of the meal. We also shared two very tasty finishes: a buttercream cake with fresh strawberries and cream and sorbet, and a salted caramel trifle, our favorite. A superb meal! Duo is definitely on our list to revisit soon.
Wonderful farm to table restaurant. Service was great. Food was amazing. Had dates stuffed with goat cheese - yum. Lamb shank - amazing. Apple walnut cake for dessert - oh. Nice selection of beers and wines. I will return if I get out that way again.
Fantastic food: after flying in from London and spending four days in NYC this was the best food I'd had for a while! Full of flavour, great quality ingredients, delicious.
Great service, great food, great drink. Great place to visit.
The food was SPECTACULAR! The bacon was excellent! Perfectly cooked and great flavor. The crispy potatoes were cooked just right! The French Toast tasted like it was dipped in a cinnamon roll while staying perfectly most. Not too sweet. And the mimosas were delicious!
Beautiful place and great food!! My strawberry pancakes were so yummy!
Thank you for helping us celebrate our anniversary in style! We had the best food and the best night! Looking forward to the Fall menu and bringing our family & friends
I asked the barman about the beer I was drinking (Fiddlehead IPA), if it was available in bottles or cans. A woman to our left asked which beer we were talking about (found out later she was an owner), she called the local co-op if they carry the cans, turns out they didn't have them. Lovely people, amazing food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Best food in town The Waitresses were really good especially Nicole in a chef Drew was an excellent cook
We absolutely lived our dinner here. Had reservations for a Friday night. Waitress was excellent. Sequencing of courses was perfect. Menu was the right size. We had been here when it was called Duo and loved it... like the website said, it's only in a name.
Duo was great for a date. The service here is amazing and the food is very good. I really appreciated the ambiance and seating. The ambiance was nice to hear each other speak clearly and easily. The seats were comfortable too! I recommend it as the go to spot in Brattleboro!
Fantastic dinner. Sat at the bar because I was by myself. Bartender was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Ordered the fried chicken that turned out to be two large chicken breasts. Batter on the chicken was the best I've ever had - crispy and flavorful. Mashed potatoes and green beans were also excellent. Overall a great meal.
Good food made fresh with good portions and nice presentation. The menu offers a good variety without overwhelming you with options. The Lounge side of the restaurant is a great option if you just want to pop in for a cocktail and some appetizers.
Great impromptu brunch with my daughter on our way home from skiing (not enough snow that day). Beautiful location in downtown Brattleboro. Food was delicious and nicely plated. I had the French toast with maple cream. I would order that again. I don't remember what my daughter got but she enjoyed that as well. Friendly staff was really helpful and attentive. You should eat here.
An absolute staple of downtown Brattleboro. This trendy restaurant is located in the heart of downtown. Serving creative craft cocktails and thoughtfully balanced dishes, Tine is the perfect place to go for special or romantic occasions. A personal favorite of mine is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, simple yet made perfect every time (always a popular dish at the table). Focusing on fresh and sustainable produce, you can’t go wrong eating here!
Came here twice, once for dinner and then we came the next morning for brunch and it was a lovely experience both times. Loved the farm to table local ingredients utilized in the menu. Their wine list was extensive as well. Both times that my boyfriend and I came, we didn’t have a reservation and thankfully they were able to give us a table with no wait time. The only reasons this place gets a star off is because the squash appetizer was underwhelming, and because my scallions entree came with some substitutions that I was not made aware of prior to ordering. Perhaps if I had known about these changes I would have ordered differently, even though the dish was fine anyways. Otherwise, a great experience.
