Their prices aren't the best, but the quality and taste of their food makes their prices worth it! The gumbo is some of the most authentic I've had at a restaurant. The pepperjack mac n cheese is a hit, as well! A+!!
Food was actually pretty good. I wish the sides had been a bit more fresh but to be fair we came in around 8. Not sure what closing time was. But the lady running it was sweet she took care of us fried us some fresh fish and shrimp. Id recommend this place to travelers looking for a taste of Lafayette. Restrooms were clean whole area was clean.
Delicious always fresh food, love the new sauce. On both of my trips to this establishment it was always great. Keep up the good work.
Let me start out by saying that if you are looking for real cajun food then you have found the right place. From the incredibly nice owner/cook to the food. You'll be happy you came here. The food here has an abundance of flavor as well as it is more than filling.
It might not have the chain name like other places but this is definitely a hidden treasure. If you have the opportunity to stop here it is worth it and you will be more than happy you stopped.
Just passing through on the way to Texas!! The food here is fantastic. If you’re wanting to taste true Cajun food stop here. Atmosphere and service was wonderful. The lady working was also so sweet! Amazing food for a great price!!!
Called in an order of alligator étouffée. It was ready fast and the lady at the window was friendly when I picked it up. The pistolettes were tasty. I didn't like the large drink cups which wouldn't fit in any of the 8 cup holders in my vehicle. No big deal. The étouffée was nothing special to me. It was the first time I've ever had it so maybe I just don't like gator. It was 30 minutes before closing also so that might have played a part. The food was hot and had plenty of flavor. Pretty spicy too. Overall it filled my gut and I'll be back if I'm ever back in the area.
This was for a visit from a little over a month ago while on a cross country road trip. Food, facilities, and more than friendly faces made this the best stop over the 2,600 miles. We had Alligator, Boudin, Chicken Balls, Gumbo and Cracklins. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Angie and Paula A. were the reason for the fifth star. They made us feel so welcome, as if we were stepping into their home for lunch. They educated me while patiently answering the questions I had before ordering and were just sweet as could be. Planning on stopping by this week while on the second 2,600 mile road trip. Looking forward to it!
