Apple's place is always 5 stars! I've been coming here for years and it's never been a miss! Her business is has been growing so much and the service is still great. The crabs are huge! And I had the stuffed lobster, *chefs kiss* it was great. Apples special garlic butter is still some of the best to this day! Thanks for a great experience! Oh did I mention the outside area was so nice and soothing. A overall great place to eat, and enjoy your family!
How can you miss this most famous spot for seafood? Cook your seafood right off the boat! Their garlic butter 🧈tastes fantastic. Blue crab, lobster, green mussels ,large shrimp and many more to choose from. The 🍤is so fresh 😍it's sweet and the shell is crispy and very thin you can eat it as a whole. It's nice to spend a whole afternoon with friends under the big 🌳. We talked, cracked some crabs and drank together. It definitely brings happiness to me evey time I visit. Crabs are so meaty you only see the meat when you open them.

My wife and I go to Cocoa Beach every year. It's one of the favorite places I have. Last year we found Mrs. Apple's seafood.

Ms. Apples Crab Shack is a spot that I frequent with friends and family. We drive up from Miami to get some great seafood by the bay, normally picking live blue crabs for them to steam, as well as a couple pounds of shrimp and other goodies like mussels and their delicious butter. All in all, it's a wonderful spot to take friends and family for a relaxed seafood adventure!
Here, you can pick from prepared meals sold at a fixed price that you can then microwave onsite or take home to enjoy later, or have them cook fresh seafood depending on what's available that day. It's best to call ahead for availability, especially for their popular blue crabs. It's also definitely to your advantage to arrive there earlier in the day to avoid possible crowds!
All of the seating is outdoors on picnic tables with a handful of hand washing stations, paper towels, and paper table covers available for use (must use paper table covers if you plan to eat here!). We normally bring our own sides and such with us to help bolster the meal, but some of their dishes like the seafood rice and egg with crab meat can serve you well too.
There's a wait but it's worth it! This place gets busy, you pick live blue crabs and fresh shrimp and they cook it to your liking. You can have blue crab whole, cleaned, season them mild or spicy. Shrimp is fresh/frozen can be with head or no head, with garlic and butter or plain. They also offer other items such as clams, lobster, snow crab ect. And some dishes precooked ready to heat. Honestly it's a little hectic but they serve delicious food! Definitely recommend!! A little tip you can bring your own side dishes and drinks and eat there.
We came down to Florida for the holidays and by far this is the best place ever. We went twice while we were down there. Once 3 days after getting to Florida and once before we left. The snow crab is the best I've ever had and by far the sweetest and the garlic stuff they put on top with butter omg just makes it. Love this place wish we had one in Chicago
I have been to this place way over 15 years and I have never been disappointed. The food, service and employees are amazing. I just want to wish Ms. Apple a speedy recovery and please hurry back I'm dying for your food.
Ms.Apples Crab Shack is a must stop place if you are in Merritt Island if you are looking for blue crabs & seafood meals. This friendly lady’s business has been around for 35 years and it is always packed. Customers can pick their own blue crab and have it prepared or take a full pre-prepared crab & seafood meal and have a feast outside by the waterway. No fine dining here, just an opportunity to get down to the business of hammer crab clusters and eat them. Recommended!
THE BEST PLACE TO EAT CRABS!!! I highly recommend going to eat here! You get to pick your own crabs and they also cook and clean them for you. I always get my crabs spicy, it has the best flavor. I also love their deviled crabs! Definitely recommend going here to eat! But they are closed on Sunday’s and Mondays so don’t waste gas going out there on those days! Follow them on Facebook to keep up with their schedule because they sometimes close unexpectedly as well.
Hands down the best snow crab EVER! I go here every single time I'm in Florida. The crab is so clean; no barnacles, weird gooey stuff, etc. True crab connoisseurs would agree and love this place. I'm always pleased and will continue to go for the rest of my life.
Well, oops. I had planned a meal for my better half, but forgot to check schedule. However, wanted a picture of the crab. Asked around and everyone said food and service were good. The outdoor area looked very nice with crab hamners...next time I will be there. Great viewing area.
What is the best place to get blue crabs remind me of Maryland except they have jumbo crabs get there early
My family's favorite seafood. We get 4lbs of snow crab and the garlic butter on the shrimp. Man, I want some right now! I enjoyed this business and I will be back. The customer service is top notch with easily accessible employees and a friendly atmosphere. Parking is a breeze. This is a recommended business.
Unbelievably delicious!!!! This is my go to for seafood! Blue crabs were just simply delicious! Ms. Apple is a delight to see and beyond personable!!! 2 thumbs up for here!
This place is AMAZING! Awesome service, great prices, delicious food, and the location is perfect. The garlic butter is just amazing, you have to try it. Ugh! So gooood! On another note very impressed on how the place is kept so clean, and how well the staff treats and attends all customers, kudos to the team. We shall see you again soon 😉
Fun, very casual place where you can pick out your own blue crabs, lobsters and shrimp. They steam them for you for a small charge. Sooo good. It is also a seafood market. Everything is available for carry out also. Outdoor seating only on picnic tables (some on decks that are covered, some outside under large trees). Mallets are available at each picnic table but you may want to bring your own tools for cracking, etc. They provide sheets of paper to spread out on the table. People bring their own sides, utensils, beverages, etc. They only provide plastic forks. Sides can also be purchased. Microwaves are available for heating your sides. The coleslaw is great. It is very messy, so don't wear your good clothes!
