Have dined here twice since they opened, and can say this place is amazing. From the décor, the beer list, the appetizers, entrees and desserts you will not be disappointed! The wait staff is friendly and helpful, attentive but not overly hovering. The vibe of the place is electric. You cannot go wrong with any of your drink or food choices. All are equally amazing and the quality is second to none. Nothing else like this in Bristol for sure. Take a chance and visit...you will not be disappointed!
Such an amazing place to enjoy a meal! I highly recommend the wings! They were amazing with my cold beverage! Definitely bring some much needed life to downtown Bristol!
Tasty, simple food made well. A nice variety of beef, chicken, and fish. I had the burger with a gluten free bun, bacon, tomato, and veggies. The fries are fresh thick cut. Everything is fresh. The local CT IPA BEER hit the spot!
Just had a lovely meal; if I didn't know it was opening week, I would have never guessed it was only their third night open. The place was packed and the food was very good…only downside was the parking (while there is plenty of room across the street, spaces aren't marked, resulting in creative use of the space which made exiting tricky.) Very much looking forward to trying quite a few more menu items!
Fantastic experience tonight at their grand opening! The food was amazing, the staff very friendly, and the draft beer list had great choices- lots of awesome CT breweries represented. Will definitely be back!
This place was busy! Saturday night on the first weekend open. The staff did a great job managing the crowds and ensuring everyone had a drink or menu...and the food was amazing! Everything coming out looked so good it was hard to choose. Definitely will be back soon!!
Love this place food was awesome drinks are great. Highly recommend
Had a great experience last night. We tried the wings, brussel sprouts and onion rings, all amazing! For dinner my husband had the ribeye special and I had the salmon, both cooked perfectly the way we ordered. And of course we had to try dessert. The carrot cake was the best I ever had. And the service was outstanding!!!

Everything about Main Street Pint and Plate is 5 stars! The glazed salmon with asparagus, grit cakes, and Cajun shrimp was awesome! The service was top notch and the decor was so nice. We will definitely eat there again!
Are you looking for a place to meet up for drinks, share some appetizers with friends, or enjoy some amazing foods with the special people in your life? The answer to all those questions is Main Street Pint & Plate!
Go and experience it for yourselves it’s going to be the place that everyone is talking about.
Been waiting for someone to fill the old Barley and Vine for a while now. Well Pint and Plate stepped up and they filled it alright. As many of you know RJ is the chef/owner of the very successful Parkside Cafe which serves awesome breakfast for the city of Bristol. What an awesome guy...very personable and well educated in his cuisine. Went tonight with my mother in law and my wife. We loved it!!! I got only the wings (because I'm on a keto diet) they were excellent. My mother in law (who can sometimes be a picky eater) was very satisfied with her rissoto and smoked chicken! My wife got the chicken parmesan with veggies on the side. Delicious! We also split the brussel sprouts....they are like crack, very addictive! We will be back. Please support this local gem. It has great food and a Downton West Hartford atmosphere.
Ate here for the first time tonight. I had the special and it was amazing! Service was good too! I can’t wait to go back again to try more items on the menu. Very cool that there are vegan options!
We went at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and it was active but not crowded. Most people were in the bar area. Brussels sprouts were good, crispy with a little sweet. I had the scallops salad and it was really good. My friend had the chicken marsala risotto. Each night is a different flavor risotto as the special. She loved it.
To start, the servers and tenders were SUPER friendly. This was my first time going and that helped a lot. We only ordered nachos for food. They were pretty good. They have an awesome drink list, cocktails, martinis etc. Plus a good variety af beers. I think we waited so long cause we thought parking was going to be tough but it couldn't have been easier.
We really like this place. Been here before for burgers, went again for a dinner. Food was really good both times. One man band was good. Table next to us with 10 loud people wasn't great, but everything else was very good.
Hands-down, the BEST Mom’s Meatloaf sandwich I’ve ever had. Get it with the fried egg, you’ll thank me later! 🍳
Good places, good food, good music. I love it
Had my birthday dinner her last night!! It was awesome. They were able to accommodate all 13 members of my party. The staff was super nice and very attentive to my guests and me. The manager/ owner came over and greeted us and told us to be as loud as we wanted to be😂😂I really enjoyed my food it was delicious!! They even had live music and according to some of my guests, really good drinks. This place is definitely a cut above the rest. Go see for yourself.
This place really is great! First time coming here and it was very full (Friday night). We didn't have reservations, but our wait wasn't too long--we did luck out as a table for 4 was just clearing out. The hostess was very pleasant, gave us a wait time, but promptly sat us. Our two waitresses were amazing, gave us attention, but didn't smother us nor ignore us, definitely a healthy balance!!
Food, what can I say, great choices on the menu. Truly does cater to those with allergies. If there was something you wanted that wasn't safe, they are willing to accommodate should they be able to! They have the Beyond Burger and Vegan Style BBQ Jackfruit Pulled Pork Sandwich for those who are Vegan; they also carry Gluten Free bread!! My husband ordered the Brussels Sprouts & RJ's BBQ Brisket Sandwich (because he's Gluten Free, he could not have the sauce), but it was really great! I had a simple House Salad with Grilled Chicken (sans the croutons and dressing as I am Gluten Free as well). Our friends had the Mac and Cheese and a Caesar Salad with a special request of Buffalo Cauliflower on her salad. All were quite delicious!
Drinks, I only drink wine and the selection was nice. I cannot comment on the beer/cocktails, however I hear great things!!
The atmosphere, as I mentioned in the beginning, was very lively. They had live music playing and it wasn't obnoxiously loud where you couldn't hear each other speak.
All in all, I highly recommend this place. It was really wonderful!!
We had a periodic family get-together at The Main Street Pint & Plate on 8/22/18.
It's in a very nicely remodeled, old brick building in a neighborhood that is quickly improving & gaining status in Bristol.
The interior had partially exposed brick walls and high tin ceiling in a style that is becoming popular in pubs in many towns in Connecticut. Very warm, and appealing, if a bit loud when they're busy.
Upon entering the bar area, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess, and seated in a separate dining room that is on a level about three steps higher than the bar area, so the noise of the bar didn't impede our quiet dinner conversation.
Our server came very shortly after to take our drink orders.
The menu is not very extensive, but offers a good number of options plus specials.
A small menu done well is superior to a long one with mediocre offerings.
My sister and my cousin's hubby ordered the short rib entrée, while my cousin had a bacon cheeseburger and I requested the salmon burger with cheddar cheese & house made dill tartar sauce. onion rings and a side order of mac & cheese.
Both who had the short rib commented on the quality of their meal, tender, good tasting, and cooked as requested.
My salmon burger was extremely good. Very flavorful, and was also quite large.
The dill tartar sauce was ok, but only because I'm not a fan of dill. Perhaps they could offer a more traditional tartar sauce as an option.
The macaroni & cheese was good....."better than average", but maybe could have used different, or maybe more kinds of cheese.
When it came time for dessert, I had the cocoanut creme brûlée, and my cousin's hubby opted for the peach bourbon upside-down cake. Both were declared excellent.
My sister said the coffee was awful. I didn't have any.
Service was very prompt and timely.
A nice touch was that the chef came to each table to ask patrons how their respective meals were.
I'm guessing we will meet here again for a family dinner, since we all enjoyed the food, service, and ambience.
