Bristol Oyster Bar is my favorite of all of the great restaurants in Bristol. It goes without saying that the oyster selection is phenomenal. What makes BOB are the inventive menu with new and interesting offerings springing from the kitchen, and the friendly and efficient staff that make dining at BOB an event and not just a meal. Gail says the Patty Melt is the best burger in Bristol. The Duck Confit Sushi, a recent recurring special, combines Asian flavors with the satisfying crunch and flavor of the confit, and although it's billed as an appetizer, it's enough for dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Bristol's Oyster Bar is not your ordinary bar. You'll notice as soon as you walk in. From the host (who sometimes is the owner Peter) to the wait staff, shuckers, chefs, and bartenders. They are an amazing group of people no matter where you sit, but for me, the best place is the bar. You never lack for conversation and a front seat view of the delicious array of fresh oysters, littlenecks, and lobster. What isn't available at the raw bar is prepared in the open kitchen. Although all the staff is great, I do have a few favorites which include Mike, Scott, and Ben. From our first time, Mike introduced himself with a steady handshake. He took our drink order and never again was it necessary to order. As soon as came in, the drink was at the bar. Now, I won't promise that to everyone, but the hospitality is there for new and old customers. Try it; you will love it!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner. Good personal service, friendly, and helpful service. Timing of food was excellent, decent wine list. I had the muscadet. The oysters were delicious and I loved the whole restaurant week meal and the bread pudding was to die for. And I received the bisque on the house for a birthday surprise. Loved every minute of it. I don't normally eat sweets but I am gaga over the bread pudding. The app was so generous I couldn't finish it, a first but I did eat about 16 oysters first. I can see the clients just love the place too and the location is sweet. Place is small and intimate.

The menu changes taking advantage of fresh produce in season. The food is delicious, the staff knowledgeable and attentive. They have the best seafood around. Seasonal sensational desserts too, so try to leave room & enjoy them. Fabulous!

Outstanding raw bar, reasonably priced. Terrific wait staff... Fun bar area... Outdoor seating... Bristol-awesome... The only negative I can find is that they are TOO good: always busy, tough to get seating at the bar. Regardless, this venue is WELL worth it.

What a great place! The Sage Gimlet is perfect! And there were so many Oyster varieties we ended up trying one of each. Be sure to try their homemade sauce too! For lunch we shared an order of fish tacos and the BLT. It was my first of many times there and I wish there were more than 5 stars to give them. Ps. Super clean place with a great vibe and an open kitchen for the win!

This place is phenomenal. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were dynamic. We had the grilled oysters and duck entree (pictures) as well as the shrimp and grits (didn’t snap a pic because we dove into it too fast lol). Will definitely be back to this place.

Stopped here after a long walk in the area… what a great find! Nice selection of raw oysters, great bees, too! And the oyster shots were amazingly tasty! Highly recommend!

Half the group ordered oysters and they gave an extra one free! The seasonal soup was also good, but the winners were all the main meals. Everyone was super happy with how theirs tasted. My mom loved the bourbon maple reduction on her fish so much that she asked for a side of extra to add more. A lot of places like to skimp on portions but they did not do that one bit!

We stopped in for lunch on a whim and were quickly seated outside without a wait. All of the food we tried was great and our server Zoe was very attentive. We enjoyed our lunch and would definitely eat here again!

Our favorite place in Bristol RI . Very simple decor , relaxing and most important part - absolutely delish. That place has the best chef who is very talented, creative- bravo! Went maybe 4/5 time now - excellent every time .

My god, the best place for seafood. Honestly, when you first make the order, it seems like the waiter might have forgotten your order…but…big But, be patient they didn’t. The order is worth the wait, because they take the time to make it super fresh. My wife ordered linguine and clam and it was the bomb and I ordered fluke and it was off the charts. If you’re in Bristol stop by here first.

Great experience! Excellent food and service. Cute location on the main street in Bristol. We sat indoors and had a nice people-watching view and could see the harbor in between buildings. Food was so good! And not as expensive as we expected for the quality. Drinks were also tasty.
