Awesome establishment with quirky retro memorabilia. The food is not good for your health lol but tastes DELICIOUS!!! Onion rings: perfectly crisp without being greasy. The fries can be well done if you ask- & they did that perfectly too. Sometimes the owner comes out to personally deliver the food. I’ve had their burgers 3 times so far, and it was good every time. I often meet my great uncle & aunt here as it’s the halfway point between my city & his town. We’ve never had to wait too long for food. Last time I was there was 5 days ago & I was delighted to see they now have a dairy free option for milkshakes!!! Winning. Prices are reasonable as well, considering inflation has driven everything up. Also pleased with the cleanliness of the eating area.
Always a pleasure stopping in at Jimmy Z's. Got food to-go this time, but have spent a meal inside numerous times as well. Got wings and a plate, both were delicious and the only reason it didn't exceed my expectations is because my expectations are so high now. Much love Jimmy Z's.
We heard that when you're in Rochester you have to get a garbage plate so we stumbled upon Jimmy Z's. Very family friendly atmosphere and we met Poppy (the father of the owner) who showed us all the neat wrestling and other famous collectibles all on the walls. We got a Barbie Q plate and a cheeseburger plate. The cold Mac salad paired with other ingredients that should be hot but weren't just wasn't my thing. LOVED the Mac and cheese bites and the loganberry soda. Still delicious flavors, loved the experience, but I was wishing for a hot meal. Great service and overall a great experience.
Wow! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hands down!!! My boyfriend went to school at Brockport and I’m so glad we swung by for a bite here!

The food and service is always wonderful here. There's limited seating, but the experience of eating Jimmy Z's next to the canal is next level. The wait times can be lengthy and occasionally you'll have to wait in line. There's a bunch of cool things to look at to pass the time. There are bathrooms here. The plates and shakes are delicious, there's so many options and you can make substitutions if you'd like to.
While on walk about in Brockport i found Jimmy Z's
what a cool little place. The decor is neat with all the stickers, SI covers and posters. One poster of KISS reminded me of a movie, DetroitRockCity. The people were great, even the new guy (: but best of all for me were the wings. As an OTR driver i've had wings all over, from here to there and then some.
Jimmy Z's NAILED it with mine, a bakers dozen of naked wings(comes with some wierd green& orange garnish lol carrots& celery) these are Real wings not some silly breaded chicken nugget try'n to be a wing.
Hey Drivers, if you are getting loaded/unloaded either at Lineage or Bonduelle, it's less than 5000 steps there & back. The steps will do ya good (: plus those wings are amazing. Check out a menu, looked like they also had some big burgers... next time I'll get the Baconpalooza burger and home friez.

This place has great food and I would definitely recommend the garbage plate. And the shakes are make really well. The inside is cute and full of restaurants history, only problem we seem to have is seating. There is almost never a spot free, especially for those who can not use a booth (I’m 9 months pregnant) and they should definitely think on expanding.
I definitely recommend if you’re in brockport! They never disappoint!
Heard a lot about the place. Ordered a simple hamburger to go. The wait wasn't bad, but burger was not dressed how I ordered it. Very busy. Lots of 80s posters to bring back memories. Street parking or up at the civic lot. Prices were reasonable.
Everyone here was really chill and inviting, the food is pretty great, it was fast and really hot. i got the custom full plate and a giant cookie which ended up being a celebrational cookie since my fiance got a call back for an interview while we were here (: will be coming back to celebrate more
The food was good not anything spectacular. The Customer Service was ok. The owner or the guy who looked in charge was super nice. However, he looked very overwhelmed when his employees are not knowing what to do. So maybe on the days, the restaurant is closed, some training might be a good thing. Clean place to eat.
Stopped in after a college visit to Brockport. Outstanding food, flavors were on point and shakes were amazing!! If you don't stop, it's your loss!!
Jimmy Zs is a great place to find a quality garbage plate and other classic burger joint favorites! I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Jimmy Zs while attending SUNY Brockport and can say it is definitely a huge part of the Brockport community! Jimmy is a great guy and always coming up with innovative ideas.
I loved the decor and the owner couldn't have been nicer. I enjoyed the large and creative menu. I ordered a juicy grilled chicken breast option, which was one of the healthier options available and some munchies to share. The munchie plate had a good selection of fried foods. My boyfriend was lukewarm about the jimbozilla trash plate. Maybe it wasn't the right pick for him. Bonus points for loganberry fountain drinks!
Been going here for over 5 years and they never disappoint. Best place and atmosphere to eat at, many different options and always at the right temperature.

Going Above and Beyond! Kuddos for GREAT customer service and satisfaction!! They forgot a Coke with my order last night (so did I until I sat down without it), called to verify if I was charged for it (it was late, I was tired, maybe I forgot to order it?). Yes, I was charged, and the guy immediately volunteered to remove the charge. Ok, but I had hoped they would have done more, but it was late, it had been a long first day back at school, and I was hungry, so I didnt suggest it nor push it. Not even a couple minutes later I received a call back, a girl this time (sorry I forgot your name), who not only apologized again about forgetting the Coke, but would, in addition to the reimbursement for the Coke, further rectify the situation by letting me know there would now be a credit on my account (equal to the food portion of my bill) that I could enjoy next time I was in. I was stunned! WOW. I mean, DANG!! Calling me back and giving me enough credit for a substantial meal?! For forgetting a $1.50 can of Coke that I admittedly should have remembered myself? And THEN, to top it off, she asked if there was anything ELSE she could do! I should have asked her to bring back the Apple Pie milkshakes year round, but my greedy self is only thinking about that now! and if you haven't tried 'em you are missing out on a great piece of Americana bliss!! Anyhow, I was amazed and thoroughly impressed, and while I am already a loyal customer, this just reinforces the fact that Jimmy Z's cares above and beyond for their customers! Thank you Jimmy Z's for always making me feel WELCOMED, VALUED, and APPRECIATED!! You guys rock!!
I haven't been here since they closed, saw the food truck outside and had to stop by for a side of the Mac salad! Can't wait till they hopefully open back up again soon! Brockport misses you Jimmy!
Surprisingly pleasant find along the road. This place looks like it's been here forever, and I'm sure there are countless college students who've fuelled their late nights. Combo plates creative and intriguing, real ice cream shakes. Nice people.
I discovered I need to eat in a place like this at least once a month. Don't tell my doctor.
