If you live in the Bronx, you have heard of Enzo’s. I was fortunate enough to go there for the first time and fell in love. The gnocchi were the best I have ever had; fluffy and light. Pesto sauce was amazing. All the sauces were fresh and perfect . We ordered off the specials of the day and loved it; a delicious red sauce mussel and clam dish. We will definitely be returning. Ambience and service are great.
We were so thankful that The hostess sat us right away on a busy Saturday afternoon. It was our first time going to Arthur Avenue. Enzo’s is the best Italian food I’ve ever had. While EVERYTHING was delicious, The chicken scarpiello is freaking amazing. I’ll remember that dish for a long time.
We came by here hearing so many good things about this restaurant and they are true. The two pasta we got - Pesto with papadella and cauliflower with penne were both super delicious and authentic.
We also got a broccoli rabe and a shrimp pizza, and they were both very good too. The service was attentive and he seems super proud about his work which is a good sign for customer.
Absolutely incredible. My wife and I went to Italy a year ago and i have to say, the food here is on par, and in many cases BETTER than what we had in Italy.
Our server was Michele and he was absolutely wonderful.
We had:
♦️CAPPUCCINO: 8.7 / 10 - very good
♦️BOLOGNESE: 9.3 / 10 - superb!
♦️EGGPLANT TOWER SPECIAL: 10 /10 🎉. Absolutely incredible. It's a special, so if they offer it, seriously, you gotta get it. It was so delicious, I suggested they make it a regular item on the menu because it was way too good to be only a occasional special.
♦️MEATBALLS: 4.3 / 10 👎 - I'm so so sorry to do this but I gotta be honest, the meatballs weren't for me (or anyone at the table). We all agreed that they were way too spicy (and when I say spicy I mean it tasted like someone accidentally knocked over an entire bag of pepper into the mix when they were making it. Waaaaaaay Waay way too spicy. Also, they serve jt with no tomato sauce (it was topped with friend onions). If you like extra spicy meatballs, then this is 100% for you. But for me, and everyone at the table, we were looking for traditional fried meatballs with tomato sauce and cheese. So unfortunately these were a no go from our party. But like I said, if you like spicy give 'em a shot.
♦️CHICKEN FRANCHISEE: solid 8.5.
♦️TARTUFO: 9.4 - delicious
♦️VANILLA ICE CREAM INFUSED WITH OLIVE OIL: 10/10🎉 - this was so special and unique. The sweetness of the vanilla along with the savoy of the olive oil works beautifully. Absolutely perfect. I wish I had better words to describe it. An absolute 10/10!
So where do I begin, we ordered fried calamari and stuffed baked clams. The calamari was so fresh and great the clams were tiny and burnt. We ordered a pasta with meatballs and sausage but the pasta was under cooked and mostly cheese and meat hardly pasta. I wanted to change the pasta But the server said they wouldn’t so disappointing. My man got the carbonara pasta and it was so undercook that it was hard to even eat. How ever the coffee and cannoli was amazing.
This is the best Italian food I've had in my life. I was surprised by how full of flavor and not-soggy any of the food was. We had the meatballs, calamari, and clams oreganata. Parpardelle w vodka sauce, fettuccine w Bolognese, and chicken francese. Everything was so good. We had to request a high chair from two different ppl, water from 3 different ppl. And at one point, we ordered to-go from a different waiter bec I hadn't seen our waiter in a long time. I would recommend and go back. There's a municipal parking lot nearby.
Service attentive. They are more patient and friendly to customers compared to nearby Italian restaurants. The interior sort of reminded me of a scene from the god father. Pizza and pasta were great! Decent portion. The deserts were disappointing and expensive. Go get tiramisu at a dessert specialist place nearby.
Our reviews had over 37 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Enzo's. Our fav spot on Arthur ave Be sure to get the famous meatballs and the ravioli (see photos). The calamari "a la Enzo" is the best preparation of calamari ever due to the peppers and honey, yes honey, that is added to the sauce. You cannot go wrong with this app. She also loved the stuffed and breaded artichoke. Very good and easy to get a seat. No reservations allowed. The bread with olives in it is fantastic as well. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. If you are visiting The Bronx Botanical Gardens, stop by Arthur Avenue and have dinner at Enzo’s. Solid Italian fare and music, with friendly atmosphere and good service.
We ordered a few different things, but only a few stand out. The bolognese and tiramisu should be on your radar. I'm a sorbet fan, ordered the lemon. It came in a frozen lemon but was pretty icy and took a bit for me to actually scoop it out to eat, definitely far from the best I've had. Overall a great spot for a patio lunch in little Italy.
