Excellent quaint bar and grill. Service is great. Anthony, our waiter was very busy but very attentive. I'd recommend it for staff meetings, small conferences or just to hang out after work.

Historic space in the old Haffen Brewery building. Had the Sweet Potato Waffle Sliders and they were out of this world! This restaurant is a keeper. Great crowd, great energy, amazing food.
My very favorite brunch spot!! I love the way Joseph makes my bloody Mary's and all the brunches are exquisitely made. I started my day with salmon lox with poached eggs and finished off with a cappuccino flan and espresso!!! The shallot dressing on the mixed greens needs to be bottled and sold!!!! I always get excellent service here! I play tennis nearby & call to order my regular meal. When I arrive, it's ready & I sit down to eat. The spinach & filet mignon salad is incredible! I come all the way from Jersey to go there!
[Native bronxite] First time here and have no complaints. Good selection of beer and food, well-drinks were very well made, great staff, and great prices. The vibe is comfortable and the back section seems dope to check out live music

Pretty excellent eatery with a twist. The location is in an elbowed section of the Bronx with a up and coming flare. The food is excellent and the staff are kind and friendly. The only drawback is they are severely under staffed so you will wait a minute or to for service but the food is pumped out with out delay. I would recommend this place as there are extremely limited options in the area and this place is refreshing. Very much so the beginning of the South BX gentrification process so look forward to a few more place like this to come.
A bar with very nice atmosphere and with a clear mission to their community, it represents how the South Bronx will be, once the gentrification hits the neighborhood. The waitresses were very attentive and pay attention to detail, which is welcomed. But the food .... omg, amazing tasting food, it’s so fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here for years now and I hope the best.
Really good food! Had the fallafel, hummus & pita, as well as the highly recommended fried Mac and cheese balls and they were fantastic! I had a draft beer and my friend ordered their sangria, which was very basic. It just tasted like a dry red wine, barely any fruits however she says it was strong. My beer was kind of warm and flat. Service was very good, our waitress was very friendly and made us feel welcomed!
While I was in NYC, a friend of mine invited me here. He told me it is one of the famous food places in Bronx. It was for sure - I loved my chicken and waffle order which was one of the speciality of the cafe. Apart from that I totally loved the graffiti inside the place. My friend ordered the bronx burger and it was really good.
The service was nice - loved the cool music played by the dj.

Pretty neat spot. Drinks are good and the nachos are delicious. The service there could be better. Some of the waitresses are rude and are in no mood to help the customer.
Every Monday night, Beautiful Minds Unite host “The Stagebox” where beautiful minds and upcoming artist come and present their pieces (poem, spoken word, dance, rap, sing etc) to the audience. Everyone is welcome, they only charge $5.
Mott haven have cheap drinks at this time and they have vegetarian options on their menu ( black beans quinoa burger, a number of salads, rice, spinach, sweet potato fries, loaded nachos without the bacon, falafel wrap, flatbreads and a few more options). Certainly a nice little spot to hang out!!! Have been here multiple times.

I took my daughter here for lunch,my first impression was that it was small,I didnt like the seating especially the wall thing since it's uncomfortable and isnt proportioned right.its higher than the table.anways ,we we're greeted by two African American ladies that seemed very optimistic and a Caucasian girl with super awesome personality and overall seems like a people person.fast forward we get our Manus and since it's our first time there we didn't know what to get but the young lady was patient with us.i got a salmon dish with assorted veggies, rice, and a margarita .the margarita was in a very small glass so I guess you'll need more than one to feel any buzz.anyways it wasn't special,like I mixed drinks at home that tastes better.. my salmon was very big,but lacked any real flavor,like it was actually bland.the bed of rice taste good though,the mixed veggies were bland too.my daughter had a Sprite with chicken tenders and fries.she loved the tenders but had one fry and didn't want anymore,now if an 8 year old says no to fries then you know it was horrible.we finished off with a brownie dessert with ice cream and sliced strawberries.the dessert was our favorite,big enough for two people to share.the location of the place is nice too because it seems secluded and a hidden gem sort of thing.ill definitely go here again and try something new just to see if the flavors are there.overall I paid $53 for our meal and tipped an additional $10 just because service was good.
We have went here twice already, the food is really good, the staff is nice, even the owner services food. Also they usually have something going on the weekends in there back room.

this place is always a good spot to eat. we had some questions and the owner/manager took time to answer and even gave us a tour. their food is great (looks good also, check the prep) and drinks are A+ go and check it out if you need a new spot.
Really great service- friendly wait staff and everything came quickly, even though they were super busy. Let me say again- very friendly people who worked well together and created a welcoming environment.

The meal was super delicious! Even though it came back almost well done (I request, medium rare), the lamb burger was awesommme! MHB&G has nice staff I gotta say. You can tell who the owner or manager is bc she had such a good friendly and professional demeanor as she spoke. The rest of the staff were friendly and courteous in spite of how super busy it got.
