Did not disappoint! Food was just excellent. It's a very casual place in the market and not exactly a restaurant. So it's great for families with small kids. It was a very unique experience in the bronx.

Arthur Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx is often billed as the "Little Italy of the Bronx" and some even think of it as their little secret. Although the neighborhood is constantly getting more and more Balkan, with Albanian shops growing in number, the Italian-American roots are still strong just like in Manhattan's version. Tours bring patrons up and down the street as well, giving the whole place a very touristy vibe.
We love this Italian market. They have it all, great Italian food restaurant, meat market, vegetables of all kinds, canned foods like peppers, sauces, olives, etc. There’s a group of people when you first walk in that are rolling cigars. It’s fun watching and smoking one if you smoke cigars. The food is so delicious!
Looked like a regular pizza place you see on any city block but it has super high quality espresso and octopus to die for! Oh, and the pizza is great too!
If you’re looking for a great mom and pop place the café is the place to be... excellent Food!The pizza is out of this world all types of toppings made from fresh ingredients. If you miss The café al Mercato You’ll never get a true taste of what Authur Avenue Market is all about! The price is very reasonable!
Fantasic eggplant pizza--oily, crispy, and quite substantial. I felt I could have been transported to Italy. The espresso is also very nice and customer service is great.
