Sugarboy is my go to for a cup of coffee since moving to the neighborhood. There is always a fresh pot of hot coffee to look forward to on my walk home. As the other reviews reflect Sugarboy is THE SPOT for creative cakes and classic baked goods in the area, no question. multi generation family owned-they put heart and soul into everything they make. Sugarboy is a gem. No lie when i say the only thing sweeter then the cakes is the customer service-so welcoming-i could stand and chat with y'all forever, thanks and bless

Found this hidden gem while traveling in NYC. What a delight! From the cakes to the pastries, everything is fingerlicking good. I had an expresso, but my attention was drawn to the pastries. I must tell you that if you're ever in the Bronx you better make it your business to stop in and grab something to go. I had to bring home the guava & cheese mini pastries! Deeeliciousssss!
Immediate friendly service. As this was my first visit, everything was set up like a normal bakery glistening in what some say is egg wash. So, I went with the personal size carrot cake, the strawberry shortcake and the almond pound cake (the greed in me 🙈😂).
Pleasantly surprised everything was so moist/fresh so much so no sharing so that it last. A must visit if you're in the area...perfecto!
LOVED IT. My family’s a big fan of this place and we just discovered it! The cakes are so aesthetically ✨pleasing✨ and It was so yummy. The only downside is that it has a lot of cream/icing. Personally, it didn’t matter to me because of how tasty the cake was.
Stopped in today on a whim to get a couple of cupcakes for my kids and the woman behind the counter was so sweet! The girls loved the cupcakes as well; will be stopping in again!
I always get my cakes from this location. They are fresh and delicious. The guava and tres leches mix is my favorite. They are able to customize beautiful cakes for you within 20 mins. Very creative and tasteful.
Best cakes and pastries I purchased my wedding cake here many years ago and ever since it the place tho go. For every occasion their cakes has been the best. It never disappoints.

So I want to say that the tiramisu has been inconsistent and varies. One day the lady fingers will be nice and soaked in the espresso and the next day it's dry like no love was put into it. Some days the cocoa powder is too heavy like covid cinnamon challenge and other days it's the perfect ratio. However, it is still good, none the less. I think multiple ppl make this and some are better than others. I'm going to try something different because the inconsistency has me like "girl, my ex works here?". But yeah. I still give love to my community. 5 out of 5, keep small businesses alive.
Ordered my cake last minute because my other person had fell through. I found them via google and I'm happy I did, the cake was good, I had a different flavor in every tier and it came out exactly how I wanted it. They are pretty expensive but it was worth it.
