They catered my Mother-in-laws memorial. The owner was so patient with our ever changing menu. He was on time with the delivery and the food was delicious!!!
Omg the fried whiting the Mac and cheese and the hush puppies were delicious. The fried fish has this special taste about. My hunny loved the fried shrimps. Every time I go to the Bronx I must stop there first for a plate of food. The staff was also very nice to me

Love love the food it's always fresh & the service is fast the family is very courteous & very friendly not to mention some of them are great on the eyes lol. I was glad when they put a soul food restaurant in the neighborhood we didn't have one & I found out the other day that they have another restaurant in Harlem so I'm glad the Bronx was the first to represent. People always forget about the Bronx, but they didnt, Harlem always gets everything first. I hope their mom is finally getting some rest and not working so hard, she worked her ass off in that store when they first opened she was there 7 days a week. I forgot his name but the one that works in both restaurants he's a sweetheart. I saw the other day the prices did go up for combinations, but you can't really get mad because they haven't went up on their prices in years. Thanks for still keeping it consistent & having great customer service. I wanted to put an apron on and get back in the kitchen and take some orders for them they always are so busy. Lol.
The people was very pleasant. My salmon, yams and mac& cheese was delicious. My kids also enjoyed their food also . The food has always been great at this establishment for years.

I live by the restaurant and everytime i drive by its always packed with people. So today I decided to go in. First of all outside you can smell the fried seafood and inside smells so good. Ordered the 8 piece bbq wings with collard greens and sweet yams let me tell you jesus toke the wheel when i had the first bite. Everything so fresh and juicy. If your in the area please check them out, and im the type to not leave reviews but i had to for this food.
The best in NY, or maybe the Bronx. Fried chicken wings are always good. The collard greens were great, the string beans are a good option and the mac was southern, cheesy and good. It is a great meal, plus you can add your favorite sauce like hot sauce for the chicken and the meal is a Hit!
When they say it’s the best soul food in the bronx, I’m here to say that that’s a fact. Not only does the food taste so good but the staff are friendly, the food is presented neatly and organized, and perfect warm temperature. I have to say the food is absolutely delicious. 10/10
I live in Jersey and go visit family in the area, I been there 3 times in the last two years, this place reminds me of a soul food restaurant in Galveston TX that I went to a few times, I must say if i lived closer i would be going there everyday, the breaded chicken is the best I ever had...A must go place to eat, I read some bad reviews here but that shouldn't stop u from experiencing something new. Place wouldn't be in business if it was bad...

OHHH MY GOD!! sooo delicious, fresh and food came hot!!! and did not disappoint. although i did have to go to the bathroom right after i’m not sure if my stomach was hurting from scarfing the whiting fish sandwich down so fast or something else but it was delicious will definitely be ordering again!!! the fish was fresh and plump! nice crunch in the fish too!!! i also got the 8 piece wing with two sides and for my side i got mac and cheese with “yams”. the yams where almost like pumpkin pie filling but it was still good with the mac. the chicken was delicious as well. fried crispy and juicy yummm!!
Ordered a fish sandwich to go, tasty, crunchy, & delicious. Will definitely return to try different items from the menu.

What can I say.....Best Soulfood Spot in the Bronx. Placed my order (2) days before Thanksgiving, and they came through! All of the food on this menu.....is delicious! From the turkey wings to the fish & Chips! Half & Half is on point(ask around)!!

Haven't been to this place in years since I was a teenager and so I decided to pull up. Just how I remember no parking and everyone heading inside lol the food was seasoned to perfection I had the wings and fries. Cheesecake was bomb too. I was glad to see the expansion on the seafood options which I'll definitely be back for, that and the banana pudding which I remember being sold out as well lol
My family was hungry and fast food wasn’t going to cut it..lol! It really wasn’t tho! Food was great! This was my first time there but one of my daughters had eaten from there when they had a spot in Harlem. I had collards, whiting, fried chicken and corn (combo) and enjoyed it! The fried catfish one of my daughters had was huge and tasty. All in all we enjoyed it an will return! Sorry..no photos, we were too hungry..lol!
Nice size Fish whiting yellow rice and beans was very good. Collard greens was good nice and tender. I would come here again and try some other food they have. They have steamed seafood as well. No crabs sell here.

Excellent experience. Ordered several trays of food for my daughter's going away party. Food was ready for pick up as scheduled. Staff helped me to the car. Food was delish, entire party loved it and it was more then enough to food my guest of 60
