What more can you ask for. A New york now even world national place. I live now in Chicago but when i am in town. Nothing like the original Nathans hot dog. We also had the French Fries. God it was so great. Wait staff was great, happy and friendly.
The original Coney Island hotdog is good. It tastes like you would expect, but not over the top special. What was blow you away special were the fries! Holy cow, were they good. Do not miss out on these guys! We got the plain, but they have several types of smothered as well.
Yumby as hell! Got three regular dogs and two chilli cheese dogs for two people. Perfect hot dogs. Don’t disappoint. I only wish they had relish in addition to ketchup and mustard. We also got an original lemonade which was really good.
The servers at the counter were very friendly and told me to enjoy my meal in such a nice way.
Legit dog and crinkle cut fries! Clam chowder was amazing!! Cool place to get a quick bite! Seating area is cozy.
I’ve been coming here since I was born! So many memories and fun times. The food is classic and I love some of the new items added to the menu like the wings and milk shakes. It’s a must for tourists and perfect if you’re in the area and need a bite to eat before or after laying on the beach or walking the board walk.

I grew up in New York and went to Coney Island every chance I'd get. Nathan's Famous would be the first place I'd visit as soon as I got off the train. The "snap" after taking your first bite of this hot dog 🌭 ... IS STILL THERE!
Went to the iconic Nathan’s in Cooney Island and was pleasantly surprised. The dogs and fries were outstanding. Lines are long, but it moves pretty quickly. For such a hardworking job with endless people in line, the staff was fantastic. Very helpful and pleasant. The only somewhat negative about the place is the outside seating. Cooney Island isn’t what it used to be so you’re exposed to a variety of different people out there, so keep one eye on what you’re eating and the other on your back.
Institution.
Nathan’s is the Mecca of hotdogs. Its not the best hotdog you’ll ever have, but it’s pretty good and definitely a pilgrimage. While you’re in Coney Island head over to the Cyclone for a true historical Brooklyn experience.
The fries are excellent, it’s fun to eat them with the red fork.
While the food is more of a tourist-based (and more pricey food) experience, I can't deny that the food is delicious. I usually get their old fashioned lemonade, a hot dog and cheese fries.
Gone are the classic Nathan's colors, replaced with Black and White designs, but the exterior remains pretty much the same! Seating is available outside of the restaurant with a fair amount of shade.
The service could be faster, but that could be due to the start of the new summer season + new staff. The manager helped out the front staff and got us our order after some delays.
Locations located on the boardwalk outside of Luna Park and on Surf Avenue across from the Coney Island subway station.
**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nathan's Famous - Coney Island's Gem**
I revisited Nathan's Famous on Surf Ave last night around 11:45 p.m. The place was lively yet without the day's lengthy queues, getting me served in just 12 minutes. The night was all about Coney Island's allure: the Friday Night Fireworks, karaoke near the Wonderwheel, fishermen on the pier, vibrant vendors, and nighttime boardwalk beauty.
But Nathan's was the highlight. I chose the "Catch of the Day" fish sandwich. Crisply battered, fried to perfection, and nestled in a bun with fresh garnishes, it was a delight under $10. Nathan's expansive menu includes famous hot dogs, unique fries, desserts, shakes, and various meals.
Beyond the food, the ambiance adds to the experience. It's the ideal Coney Island pit stop with clean facilities and cozy seating. Established in 1916, Nathan's is not just food; it's a slice of history.
Considering affordability, location, and quality, Nathan's is unmatched. The lively, bustling atmosphere captures Coney Island's essence. Service was fast and courteous. Even with the late-hour buzz, it was spick and span. If in Coney Island, Nathan's isn't an option, it's a must. It is highly recommended! Here's to more delightful visits!
