Expertly run Korean barbecue place with beautiful decor, amazing food, a charming bar, and private karaoke rooms. Some of the seating is family style, and on busy nights. It’s good to try and make a reservation before arriving.

i've eaten here four times in the past year and i am blown away by the dishes every single time. The service is sharp, the ambiance with the BBQ tables is fun, and the cocktails are perfect, but it's the food that keeps me coming back. As someone who is gluten free but loves korean food, you just can't beat this. There's also great BBQ options for vegetarians and vegans- im not veg but even I love the fresh grilled mushrooms! This place is a true gem in the brooklyn food scene, do not sleep on it

I just celebrated my birthday here tonight. I have ZERO complaints. Nothing but LOVE for Insa! ♥️♥️♥️ First off the place is beautiful inside. It felt so cozy too. The cocktails were tasty! I enjoyed my margherita a lot - they kindly made it the way I really wanted it. We ordered the Galbi, bulgogi, etc... It was all absolutely delicious. The Galbi especially was great. I can feel my mouth salivating as I am thinking about it right now. The service was good overall. The staff were so kind, helpful, and attentive. I love that they have private karaoke rooms here too. No need to travel to another destination for that. Super convenient. We had such a blast picking the songs through their app and singing along as a group. Then towards the near end of our karaoke session, a staff member came in and presented an ice cream sundae with a candle on top for my birthday. Everyone broke into the happy birthday song. What a sweet moment! Tonight was one of the best and most fun birthday celebrations I've ever had. Thank you Insa for making my night special!

We booked this place online and had a small issue but it was quickly rectified and seated within minutes. The food was pretty good and the people I took with me (who had never had Korean food before) absolutely loved it. Though I warn you that the portions are quite big I would recommend sharing a main between two if you want starters as well. All in all this seems like a great place for events and party’s!

Very good Korean bbq spot. While alil on the pricey side, I’ve eaten here 2/3 times and the quality is consistently excellent. Whether ordering meats for the grill, or regular dishes, it’s all great. Come with a group of friends, stuff yourselves & then rent a private karaoke room in the back and have a ball. You won’t regret it. Update, went again this past weekend (late 2023) and the food and service is still excellent. Also changing from 4 to 5 stars. I really enjoy dining at Insa because it’s consistently excellent. I look forward to dining here again!

We had a great time here! Food was mostly delicious, but definitely get the pancakes. Those were a hit with everyone! We wanted vegetables with all the meat we ordered, so we got asparagus, but those were disappointing since they were covered in a red BBQ sauce. We then went karaoke singing. Compared to other karaoke bars I've been to, these rooms were spacious and clean! The system is also very easy to use. Highly recommend for date night or a fun night out with friends!

They use your table grill to cook the food for you. Food is good but not amazing. Definitely enjoyed the karaoke section, had so much fun. Cocktails were great but the bar area gets crowded pretty quickly and becomes inconvenient to stand out sometimes sit.

Although I didn’t order Korean BBQ, I sat in the bar area and it’s a beautiful setting!! The red tree really creates a smooth ambiance. Even the Korean BBQ tables looked super sleek and I would totally consider having a birthday here. I came here to find legit bibimbap - ya know, the whole stone vessel that keeps the food warm and the rice at the bottom crunchy. The elements were delicious, fresh, and the flavors on point. They didn’t do the whole egg presentation thing like they do in other countries, but I’m sure there’s good reason haha. It wasn’t a deal breaker - I still got my egg on top 🙂 The pork rinds were fine. Good seasoning. Crunchy. Nothing super special, but it met my expectations (in a good way). NOTE ⚠️ Careful of the kimchi drink. It’s like drinking straight up kimchi. Not my personal favorite and it was a lot to handle. Otherwise! The other drinks were good. I’d definitely come back!

I went to Insa not too long ago on a Saturday with my boyfriend and we had a great time. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar tables and we were served by the best waitress, her name was Kate. There we ordered: •House made cherry limeades •Seafood corn dog •Tteokbokki •*From the cocktails section* I got one drink called “Three Little Women” and he got “Damsoul in a Sundress” •Insa’s special dish which was Pork ribs on kimchi waffles with a sweet glaze on top •Lastly for dessert we ordered Mochi Sizzle and Hibiscus-Coconut milk Sorbet. The bar section didn’t include the barbecue portion of the menu so if you want the Korean bbq make sure to arrive early or make a reservation 😁. Either way you and your friends will have an awesome time! If you would like to see more pictures and videos from this restaurant and more restaurants check out my Instagram @blaze_eatsnyc

This place is a gem. Small bites for the table is the name of the game. Bulgogi and Fried Chicken were just perfect. We ordered (and always do) WAY too much, but worth it. After dinner we rented a Karaoke room in the back. So fun! And then when our time was up we hung out at the bar (they have a mini Godzilla at the bar! ::pictured below:: — as if you needed another reason to go)

Absolutely tasty Korean BBQ & a great selection of other menu specialties. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun for both dining and karaoke. You won’t regret stopping in for a meal.

We had a birthday party here and had the best time! Our server was GREAT! He helped us cook and let us sit back and drink. They have so many great options on the menu; small dishes, dishes to share and a good amount of vegetarian options. Then karaoke in the bad was AMAZING. They give you a server who can help with anything you need. Great place!

The marinated beef is very tasty. It doesn’t taste like marinated for years but freshly with enough tastes. The waitress helped us was very attentive. The overall experience was great!

Great place for groups, and the food was amazing. The portions look smaller than they are trust me. Minor Negative: its Korean bbq but you dont have any control over bbqing or how long the meat cooks or anything. They do it all for you standing next to you the whole time. Kinda weird if you ask me. If you aren't going to let me cook it at all, why not just cook it in the kitchen?

Came here to pre game the other day before a pride event. Love the atmosphere. Maddy was super sweet and an amazing server. I had a great time, and was very thankful to be in a queer friendly space that appreciates and understands pronouns. If you check out the bar, try the velvet rope! Super tasty.

The indoor dining experience is pretty great! Went there with my friend for bbq and seafood pancake. Awesome vibe and yummy food. Beef is BOMB need to order and grill it! Pork belly is a bit too fat but it’s yummy too. I visited during pandemic in 2020 and seated outside. It wasn’t very good. I’m glad I get to go back to the indoor seats and fully enjoy the services and the food there. Will come back for sure and excited to sing karaoke with my friends there!
