Every bite takes me to a new place. Every taste is so beautiful, delicious, specific, and amazing. And then there’s the place… The beauty of the place itself, the aesthetic with which it was made. And the calm, lovely, and lively atmosphere.
Our group tried a good portion of the menu ... everything was incredible! We couldn't believe the quality of the dishes. The service was impeccable and the chill atmosphere only added to the experience. Our waiter was so attentive but far from being annoying. We will definitely dine here again. The grotto was an unbelievable score - if you can be seated there - grab it!

This place is DELICIOUS. Straight up, yum! The corn flake crusted fried chicken is crisp, flavorful and moist; I highly recommend it, and the whole fish is also a treasure!
From the charming setting, to the amazing food (the plantain stew is a must try!) to the awesome service, this is definitely a fabulous place to eat, drink and chill with your friends and family!
Great spot for brunch. Food was delicious and loved the style of the place. They have a small outdoor space 👍🏼
The food here is amazing. Went for Valentine's Day, it was my husbands first time. There were many choices on the menu. Every dish was delicious. The wait service was very good too. Can't wait to go back.
The food is incredible, the restaurant is absolutely charming and feels airy and comfortable. Will definitely be coming here again!!
Innovative menu, first quality ingredients and healthy portion sizes. Thanksgiving dinner menu was amazing!!
I love this not-so-hidden Park Slope gem!! The roasted cauliflower, pepper & bacon salad is addictive!!
Never, ever disappoints. Had yet another great dinner at Palo Santo, tonight. This is the only restaurant I make a point of going to every time I visit NYC, 2 or 3 times a year.
Truly delicious food and amazing service. Definitely coming back, treated our party of 10 like family.
Good food and friendly staff! And the mimosas were good!
Amazing, amazing, amazing! Thank you for our wonderful rehearsal dinner on Thursday
We came here to check out this quaint off the main avenue restaurant to see if it was worth the hype. Well that depends. We enjoy an intimate and cozy ambiance so this place was a hit for us. Menu is small but that means they could ensure fresher ingredients. The open kitchen is visible from the front dining area which is small but intimate. I enjoyed the sangria and candle on our table. Skirt steak was amazing. Cost is a little high but this is located in an expensive part of Brooklyn. We recommend if you are the type of person who enjoys a small but intimate setting.
Great place as far as I am concerned. Not crowded maybe because we were fairly early for a Saturday brunch. It was 25 dollars for an entree plus a beverage. We ordered 4 entrees of which only one was non vegetarian and the remaining three had eggs. We shared and I had a taste of all four and most of the lamb hash and eggs since two of us were lacto - ovo vegetarians. It was different from any of the usual Mexican stuff and quite exceptional. Not a cheap place but we enjoyed the food, the decor and the service.
Lovely place, great service! The food was delicious and everything was so flavorful. The pork was perfectly cooked and so tender. The corn tortillas are the best I've had. The sangria was a bit too sweet
Beautiful restaurant, kindest staff ever. Everyone loves what she/he is doing. Very very delicious food. We had the best vegetarian tacos and dumplings with its creamy sauce and the postres are great. But also the swordfish and lobster was delicious. Very very tasty wines. Umfortunatly we're living in Germany...
(In Germany we call dumplings "Spätzle" (dialect word for little sparrows, but Spatz also means darling) but usually we spread the dough over a cutting board and cut quickly small stripes directly into boiling water. The taste is the same)
I recently had the pleasure of hosting my sister's bridal shower at Palo Santo, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we reached out via email to inquire about hosting the event, to the very end of the celebration, the restaurant's responsiveness, hospitality, and attentive service were truly commendable.
When we initially contacted Palo Santo to discuss hosting the bridal shower, Jacques, the event coordinator, was prompt and courteous in their email responses and it immediately set the tone for what was to come. They were incredibly accommodating, addressing all our questions, concerns, and special requests with genuine care and attention to detail.
On the day of the bridal shower, the moment we walked through the doors, we were warmly greeted by the restaurant staff. The attention they paid to each attendee, making sure everyone felt welcomed and comfortable, truly stood out. The waitstaff's attentiveness to details, such as refilling drinks, clearing plates, and offering menu suggestions, enhanced the overall experience and made us feel well-cared for.
I highly recommend Palo Santo for hosting special events like bridal showers. The staff's commitment to making our event memorable was evident in every interaction. If you're looking for a venue that not only provides delicious cuisine but also goes above and beyond to create a truly personalized experience, Palo Santo is the perfect choice. I can't thank them enough for making my sister's bridal shower a truly unforgettable celebration.
My bf and I were starving and just wandered into this place, and wow! I got the chicken mole tacos which were super juicy and delicious. We also got the avocado app and the cauliflower app which were both amazing. Everything was packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place!
Amazing food, perfect ambiance! Try the skirt steak and eggs with a side of rice and beans. You won't regret it
We hosted my bridal shower in the back room of Palo Santo and it was truly perfect. The staff were so kind and accomodating, the food was amazing, and the drinks were always flowing. The room + the back garden are so nicely decorated that we hardly needed to add any decor of our own. Would definitely recommend Palo Santo to anyone looking to host a private brunch or dinner in Brooklyn.
Gorgeous restaurant, great staff, wonderfully priced, and food was delicious. We went for brunch and got the chilaquilles which was SO good. I found the steak a bit hard to chew, but no one else at the table seemed to complain. The bbq’d plantain was fantastic — first time having it but my Latin friends loved it. Apparently the lime pie was super authentic according to my table guests as well
I rarely make reviews but I felt the need to after I stumbled upon this place. The atmosphere alone is like a movie set- so cozy and dim lit it feels so intimate with the people you are sitting with. The staff was so kind and so nice when asking questions or suggestions about the menu. And the food was INCREDIBLE. The ceviche, tortillas, and avocado as appetizers were so flavorful as well as the homemade salsa. We then got the barbacoa which was amazing as well. Great prices and food it was simply amazing.
Very good food and service. Watermelon salad, hake and maduro and mango sorbet
Cool the restaurant is in the ground floor of a Brownstone. Very cute place with good seating. Small backyard seating is cute and a few patio seating out front.
The food was very tasty and good sized portions. Staff was very friendly. Would go back for more!
I’ve been here several times and I’m always very satisfied. I decided to try their tasting menu for NYE and was even more blown away! Great wine pairings and they even accommodated my vegetarian needs! Definitely, we will be coming back and hope to attend their next event!
My wife and I went there for her cousin's 60th surprise birthday party. It's a very cozy place to eat in the area. The restaurant is at the bottom of a brownstone. The food was very tasty and service was great! We started with the Zucchini Quesadilla, then each had NY Sirloin and finished with chocolate walnut bread pudding and coconut tres leches cake.

I had the pleasure of coordinating an intimate wedding at Palo Santo in August and the team was just phenomenal! The food was absolutely delicious, yes, but the staff was so incredibly attentive to my clients and their guests that it just made the experience that much more special. I would enthusiastically recommend Palo Santo as a wonderful place to host an intimate wedding ceremony and dinner for family and friends.

Our close friends are local and avid lovers of this spot, so naturally, it was our turn to join on their adventure. The owner is a gifted artisanal chef. His menu changes often and the offers are so impressive. He knows how to balance flavors with unique twists. We nearly ordered every appetizer on the menu, along with a pitcher of sangria. The entrees were delicious - the tuna entree substituted for swordfish was flavorful, the crispy chicken-styled entree was a high end twist to batter wings and the plantain coconut dish (first on the entree menu) was impressive in presentation - literally in a coconut shell- and in its flavor. I know I butchered the names on the menu... nevertheless, you cannot go wrong with ordering anything here. The friendly ambiance will nurture your food baby to good health by the time you leave. 5+ stars.
