The best authentic Italian food in Brooklyn. Fresh homemade pasta dishes, every dish has fresh seasonal ingredients, delicious baked bread to eat as you wait, the wine selection is small but every wine listed is a great bottle which you can have half/full carafes of, try any coffee flavored dessert and the pannacotta is to die for. The place is small you might not even know your walking past the best Italian spot in Brooklyn.

1st time here, found it thru maps , went to a concert nearby..Great food, decent prices and nice staff..My only complaint is that back patio area in the summer needs a light fan of some form of ventilation cause i was sweating alot just sitting down...Besides that it was Great..

One of the first restaurants I ate at after moving to NYC 6 years ago and has been a favorite ever since. Amazing atmosphere, summer patio, and great food and wine never disappoint. I wish that it was not cash only as I usually avoid such places (this is 2015 after all), but for Il Passatore, I make an exception!

I have been coming here for nearly 10 years and for the last 3 I've been lucky enough to live down the street. I love the food. It's consistent and affordable. Cute atmosphere. Great patio. They'll let you BYOB with a reasonable corkage fee.

It's not classic Brooklyn Italian. It's Italian Italian! My only wish would be a better selection of local hard crusted Brooklyn Italian bread. Focaccia cubed? Fuhgeddaboudit! Seriously, the food here was fantastic!!

Uuuum....wow. Just so fresh and so good. Visiting friends in NY, who used to live around the corner from here. This was their neighborhood joint! I wish I had a neighborhood joint so delicious!! Eat here.

I enjoyed each dish for different reasons. Pleasant experience with staff. I can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu.

okey lets start this one. Location is nice, the service was a lovely lady, you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed by all the tables but she kept it very cool. The food was great, the Insalata di Cavolini di Bruxelles and the Insalata di Spinacini, Pecorino e Mele was very good, def recommended but the Fritto Misto was a bit too dry for my taste. The tortellini was good a good spice to it but it wasn’t wow, I def wouldn’t get it again. overall a nice beautiful space in the heart of Williamsburg.

Delicious, authentic, lovely atmosphere and great service. Pasta made fresh daily. We had the full bodied, earthy 2018 Montefalco, the pistachio crusted artichoke appetizer (GET IT), the butternut squash pasta and vegetarian gnocchi. Perfect dinner.

Moved into Brooklyn a few months ago and stumbled across this restaurant. It's incredible. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and the ambiance is great, especially on a warm day on the back patio. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent italien restaurant, the staff is charming and very accommodating. The place is very cute. They have a menu and daily specials. The best point is the gluten free pasta! Prices are very affordable. They have patio in the back.

You’re missing out! The food is delicious and fresh and the gelato is divine! This place a bit off the beaten path so it’s never crowded. The spacious back courtyard is shaded and peaceful… perfect for a laid-back yet romantic evening where you can linger in the fresh air.

This used to be a sleeper hit for great pasta in the city. I'm not sure what's happened, but the menu has changed and the dishes are not nearly as good. They've swapped the delicious butternut squash agnolotti for a different butternut ravioli dish, that's drowning in sauce and using thick pasta. Steer clear of the cacio e pepe tortellini, it needs some work and the pasta is so thick :/ The ragu isn't as good, but was still tasty. The place is good, with decent house wine and a cool backyard. I'll try it again, and will update if this was just a one off.

Our dinner at Il Passatore was a great experience. The food was amazing - we tried 3 pasta courses - but our host Giuseppe made the evening even better ! I strongly recommend this restaurant !

Excellent food ! An adorable little place with great service and an excellent menu. We had a few appetizers and pastas and the orata (a special) and we loved it all. For dessert they gave us a medley of their yummy gelatos (amazing!) and tiramisu. Sweet servers - professional and personable. A true neighborhood gem!

If your thinking about going here, stop thinking about it and go here. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. I had the prosciutto and mozzarella starter, Ragu for a main, and gelato for dessert. The prosciutto and mozzarella came out in sort of a quesadilla which was wild to me at first but had so much umami. The ragu was traditional, heavy, but with a nice light flavor. Gelato, fantastic! Everything was very well portioned as well. I left feeling neither too full nor hungry. The service was also attentive, but not too pushy. I think even Larry David would find the service here A+ grade On top of that, I accidentally left my headphones there and the busser caught me almost two blocks away to give them back. Impeccable service!! I will absolutely be back!

Went here for a cute Valentine’s Day dinner. Place definitely needs reservations so make sure to call ahead. Nice atmosphere, close tables but that doesn’t matter if you’re there for the food and not the space. Service is bomb, lovely staff. Wait time on the main course was way too long, considering we ordered pasta dishes. The bread was amazing (always a good sign). The Fritto Misto we ordered was way over fried so it made the seafood hard to eat (skip it). The pasta dishes ended up being delicious once they arrived. Gnocchi had great flavor, maybe wish it was a little more al dente. The smoked salmon in cream sauce pasta was a highlight, could have been a lil more al dente too. Overall, would definitely come back and recommend. Can’t beat those prices either.

We loved our authentic meal at Il Passatore. This is our first visit to Williamsburg and we’re surprised this place was so affordable for the quality of the food and service. We sat on the covered patio on a warm June Friday evening. We shared the caprese for an appetizer and then he had the squid ink pasta and I had the carbonara. The flavors and ambience transported us back to Venice. The servings were pretty huge too. The kitchen was trying out a new watermelon panna cotta recipe and offered to let us try it. I really hope they keep it on the menu for the summer because it was perfectly delicate and had a lovely, intense watermelon flavor. Enjoy slow food at Il Passatore!

Very friendly and authentic. The salmon was my favorite, the steak just ok… but I’ve heard the pastas are amazing. Next time!
