We stopped in for a bite while running some errands and were so happy we did. The bartender was super friendly and made a great cocktail. The fried chicken has its own section on the menu and for good reason. I got the fried chicken sandwich and my partner got the combo. Would return just for the cocktail or for the chicken - definitely recommend a stop in!
Hamilton's on Ft. Hamilton Parkway is one of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, so it was no surprise to me that I would absolutely love their sister restaurant. As soon as I walked into Alchemy for brunch, I felt it had the same vibe as Hamilton's, in spite of it being much smaller. The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food comes out fast, fresh, and delicious. It is conveniently located near the Barclay Center, so it is a great little spot to stop in before and/or after an event. I definitely recommend, and I will most certainly drop by again in the future the next time I am in the area.
8/4/23 back for a late dinner
I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was good. The GF got the fried chicken sandwich and she loved it.
Our friend got the veggie burger and she said it was ok & needs more seasoning. Good beer selection and good service. Garlic Mayo was noted to be amazing by the ladies!
4/10/22 brunch- it was full, but got a recently vacated booth. They are understaff so service was slow but nice and friendly. Food still really great!
I had the Swiss breakfast, a perfect size for a smaller plate if you're not truly hungry.
2019:Been here several times. Most recently for brunch. Had the huevos rancheros (photo), they make it in a very interesting way and it was very good! Service was excellent as it always is... Thanks K!
I came here with my mother and my girlfriend. I had the corned beef special for St. Patrick's Day, which was good. The brussels sprouts we ordered as a side were quite ordinary. They weren't crispy or seasoned in a particularly distinct way, combined with cheese or bacon or any of the common trendy manners that restaurants now serve brussels sprouts. The mushroom salad was good. My mother's fish was good. A solid restaurant.
This place is great for those who want to drink to shelf spirits and dine on great food prepared to your liking. What caught my eye was the fried chicken. Yes I said fried chicken. I was in shock but the fried chicken was actually pretty good. I ordered a thigh and breast to test for juiciness and flavor over a big piece and boy it did not disappoint. Now wait a min some might day it needs salt. But no - let's be fair you gotta cook but you can't raise someone's blood pressure at the same time.
Great food nice environment and lovely personal
This is THE date night spot with incredible drinks and food. My partner and I have been coming here for years. If you want a laid back vibe come here. It is a warm and woodsy and intimate setting and the crowd is cool too. Definitely for your older millennial crowd who want to laugh and have a good time but not party.
The ravioli is my favorite dish (JUST DO IT) and I always order whatever special drinks. The specials are always changing and always excellent- this time I had The Fallen Angel which was bourbon, chambord, pineapple and lemon it was heavenly. 2 and you'll feel fuzzy and warm.
No matter where I move around in the city I will always make the travels to go to Alchemy. 10/10 every time. Lots of options for vegetarian as well as other dietary restrictions like gluten free.
Lovely cute place. Very chill. My girlfriend and I always come here for brunch. I love their Eggs Benedict. Steak and eggs are great too.
Great little place to eat and grab a drink. The food is excellent with a small but satisfying no frills menu and a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is very friendly and the prices are (in my opinion) affordable.
The food was great! We had a mix of breakfast foods. There were free blueberry muffins to start the meal which was a great smile starter!
Toad in a hole was so good and the French toast! Highly recommend. Staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Great Brunch spot in BK.
This place is clean but there were flies inside. The man working there was friendly but the cooks took really long to make the food. The food was good for the price and the place was empty at lunch time. I would recommend going here but if you’re on a timed schedule then maybe go to a place with quicker service.
Awesome hanger steak! I would highly recommend this place. Nice atmosphere. You g crowd. Trendy pub. pleasant waitstaff.
The servers there are amazing and kind. The cocktails were superb classy and special. Also don’t get me going about the food-YUMMY
Cute and cozy dive bar with great charm. I had the Salmon and my bestie had the hangar steak and we both had a great time eating our meals. They had a decent wine list in which I got a glass of sparkling rose. So if you're in the area looking for a good bite I think it is definitely a go! I have gone twice service was fast, efficient and they take pride in their location. On the second visit I had the mac and cheese which they make to order it comes originally with peas and bacon but I had it plain and I must say it was absolutely delicious. I was happy they were willing to allow the modification on my order because that was a welcomed side dish to my salmon, though next time I will get the larger order and not just the side size. I think it is easily becoming one of my neighborhood faves and look forward to this being my new spot. It's every clean and has quaint charm to the decor, very laid back I really like it. Sorry I have no pics of the mac but trust me it's good.
Great meal. At some point it got so loud we couldn't hear each other talk, but otherwise it was a very nice meal.
Was having a rough day and the bartender was so hospitable and easy-going, totally turned it around! Shared his crossword with me and offered to charge my phone, I could tell everyone else in the place was feeling chill from his vibes too. This place has really warm energy. I enjoyed my veggie burger and hot toddy too.
Alchemy is a nice spot in a busy area of Brooklyn. It was a nice variety of different foods, including a pretty good shepherd pie, cocktails, and desserts. I would recommend if you're in the area.
