I came in to satisfy my craving for a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich had all of the elements that I was looking for: ham, swiss, pickles, pork. It was properly toasted and came with a tasty salad. The restaurant itself is cheery and brightly colored. I love the music! They do prefer cash.
Cubana Cafe may be small, but it packs big flavor. I opted for the chicken soup and the chickpea salad with avocado and chicken, while my boyfriend had the Latina burger. We both loved our meals. The food was delicious.
I also want to give a shout out to Cubana cafe for being open on Christmas. It's not easy to find places to eat on that day, and we were so grateful to have stumbled upon your eatery. You can be sure that when we come back to Brooklyn, we'll be swinging by Cubana cafe again. For sure. See you again soon!
Been here twice for brunch. It's a very casual and cute setting with nice music and a beautifully decorated interior that includes those bright pastels you associate with Cuba. The service is always just two people, who are both very friendly and attentive. The coffee and food is good. It's simple food - nothing that will wow you, but it's a good price and the atmosphere makes it all worth it, in my opinion
Cash or Cashapp/Venmo ONLY! I stopped by here after I night of drinking & everything was spectacular. Stopped again while sober & was beyond impressed. The Cuban sandwich still leaves my mouth watering & the ceviche is a must! This will become a go-to for me. 10/10 highly recommend.

My friends and I go every other week, sometimes every single day. The vegetable rice, the ecuadorian breakfast and the mexican breakfast are amazing!
Came back a month after with some friends to try other dishes, my favorite so far are cubano sandwich and appetizers.
Staff is very attentive and very nice.

Owner of this place was very welcoming. The environment made me feel like the comfort of my own home. Very cozy and clean. Had to order 2 cafe con leche, best coffee around. Came in for breakfast, delicious! Thank you , will be back again.

I really enjoyed the Cuban sandwiches and maduros. They also have a huge variety of Latin American beers, they're all about $7 each. The vibe here really feels like Cuba. Definitely will be returning.
I had the potaje black bean soup and the palomilla chicken. Both were delicious. I was surprised by the generous serving size. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well. This is one of her favorite spots, and it's become one of mine!

Listen, Cubana Café is good for what it is - and it makes you feel good. Is this authentic Cuban food? Absolutely not, but for our purposes of grabbing a quick, casual bite and some drinks while sitting outside, listening to good music and enjoying good conversation, this checked all those boxes. The outdoor space is cute - bright and vibrant colors keep you feeling upbeat accompanied with some island vibes and Cuban decor that fills both the indoor and outdoor space. We popped in for a couple of cocktails and some small bites due to the COVID regulations - no drinking without ordering food. So we did - tostones and chorizo and both were good. The chorizo had tons of flavor as it should and was grilled nicely. The tostones were fine. Obviously I was hungrier than I though because I forgot to take a photo of the food.
To drink, I wound up going with a watermelon mojito, minus the added sugar. It was well balanced and tasty. My friend kept it simple and ordered light rum (not sure which), neat.
Well priced, low key and the staff was super nice and accommodating.

I am the vegan of the group and although my options were a bit limited, I enjoyed the food. I ordered the arroz con vegetales, chips and guac, and tostones. I really enjoyed the arroz con vegetales! A great ratio of vegetables to rice. I do wish there had been a vegetarian protein options because I definitely left a bit hungry. Overall, I had a good experience and the atmosphere of Cubana Cafe was so cute.
As the non-vegan of the group, I ordered the Arroz con pollo. It came with rice and beans and it was a very large portion so I had leftovers. Chicken was cooked well and you had a choice of rice, I got the yellow. The elote was perfectly seasoned and there were chips and guac for the table. The shrimp ceviche came with a fruit salad and it was delicious. The only thing I wanted to mention, we had a few vegans that ordered the ‘Yucca with Mojo’. On the menu it doesn’t state any dairy in the dish and so we thought it was safe to order. When it arrived, it seemed to have a dairy sauce covering the entire top of the dish. Although tasty, they weren’t very eager to replace the dish so we just handed it over to the rest of the table and shared it while the other folks had to order something else. Overall, it was a cozy restaurant with tasty food.
The pork chop was masterful. The Latte de Coco was great. Good roast. We were served plantain chips as an appetizer and they were really good.
Great place for lunch and I felt like I was in Cuba. The decor was very inviting and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant has a bar and a variety of different foods to try out. We had the roasted chicken and it was fall off the bone delicious. The chicken was part of the lunch special and it came with a tres leche which was a great deal. Also had the huevos rancheros with avocado and chorizo and it was amazing. I recommend trying out the restaurant if you're ever in Cobble Hill.
Came here on a whim last minute . Absolutely loved it ! Food is fresh ! I got the veggie burger and it was very tasty ! The elote and tostones were perfectly made ! Would definitely come back!
