We love the food here. Staff are nice, decor is great, but the place feels a little dingy. Still, we have been coming since the place opened years ago and the fish and chips are akways great! Fries with curry sauce are awesome. I love their granny mac. Love that the peas are separate, so never soggy. Wish it wasn't quite so dingy and they no longer deliver to our location, so it will just be a rare outing for us these days.
A cute little place like you would fine in East London they have the traditional fish and chips but also an amazing arrangement of deep-fried items like Twinkies, pizza and an equally great clam chowder. It's small nice staff upbeat walls are covered with items of England signs, newspapers, posters kind of cool place to hang out.
One of my absolute favorite bars, plus restaurant and pub grub in the city. Generous happy hour. Excellent decor. Sit under the Siouxsie poster and drink your cares away. Or the damned poster and revel in your fallen state (with Shepard's pie). The other location is a pale shadow of this one, but not bad. Just not pukka.
Now this is proper fish and chips. No need to travel into the city. Great atmosphere staff always friendly. Can't beat the prices and food never disappoints. Good English breakfasts too.
Great interior, good food. I didn't love it, just liked it. Come see for yourself.

British pub food, well-executed, and a pretty extensive tap list headline the menu at the Chip Shop. During the EPL season, they are an Arsenal supporters bar, and usually have plenty of space so you don't feel crowded
Wonderful staff! Fantastic food! Authentic fish and chips London style (and I lived there before) A must go!
It's a great English pub atmosphere. They have a fairly large drought beer selection and the bottle selection was nice too. It's not the biggest menu in the world but let's face it, of you're going there, you're going for one thing. I had the fish and chips. There piece of fish was huge. The fish was fried perfectly, it was crispy on the outside and the fish itself was white and flaky. The fries or "chips" were great. I am not a big fan of French fries but these were really good and I ate most of them. Everybody at the table ordered something fried, my wife ordered the fried shrimp they were prefect. For dessert I had the deep fried chocolate bars. That is an indescribable dish, all I can say is, of you like deep fried food and you like chocolate this dish is for you.
I've passed by this place many times, and finally stopped in one day. I was surprised at how great it was. It definitely has a British pub feel, and frequently you'll find the TVs tuned to a soccer match. They have a ton of beers on tap, and they seem to be kept very fresh. Food is good and reasonably priced. Service has been pretty good as well. They have a great happy hour during the week, from I think 12-7 where if you are sitting at the bar, you get 20% off your total bill. I would say this is for sure one of the better places n the neighborhood to grab a beer, and it is one of the few bars open for lunch during the week.
This is the place to go for authentic Brithish fish and chips. The food here is great.
Excellent food, i had the classic cod and chips and it was amazing. We also ordered the fried mac n cheese and a side of curry sauce. Every single item was delicious and would definitely come back to try new items. The only problem was the wine. I had a red wine and yes I know its an English eatery, but it tasted a little cheap.
Anyways, I like coming to a place that honors their home country and serves the best from their land. I'm also a person who likes to try new foods at least once. With that in mind, the first time I came here, I ordered the Haggis. I was told it was an acquired taste type of plate, but I actually liked it. It was on the iron rich side and hearty.
Usually, I get the cod and chips. The fish is usually battered and fried. However, I get the healthier option, in which they bake the fish in wine. With that in mind, I usually order a glass of wine as well. Why not?!
I do have to mention that they have things on the menu like deep-fried pizza (which I've gotten once) and fried oreos. If you're trying to keep a nice figure, get sides that have vegetables. You can easily pack on the pounds from their rich and tasty menu and take a dip into your wallet, also.
Fish and chips are the best!! The posters all round are a treat to watch
Atlantic Chip Shop is right down the block and has always been a great place to grab some good food or have a drink at the bar. Service has always been good and the staff is very friendly. What I like best about this place is that it's always good. We have never had a bad or "ok" meal. It has always been consistently good food. I suggest that if you don't have the fish & chips (which is great) then try one of the Mac & Cheese or Shepherd's Pie dishes. They are amazing.
Best fish i've ever had outside of London, England. Walked into the place in the middle of the day on a Monday and felt like we had walked right into a London pub. The fish and chips were excellent, the malt vinegar sitting on the table was perfect, the homemade tartar sauce was the best i've ever had. Food was hot and fresh and crunchy and tasty. Also ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Very rich but extremely delicious. I also tasted my friends chicken finger sandwich, man, they KILLED it. So good, i wish I could visit here every week and eat everything off of the menu. GO. GO. GO!
One of my all-time favorite places to eat in Brooklyn. Simply the best fish and chips, and the most authentic pub grub outside of the UK. They have a great beer list that rotates regularly. Portions are generous and delicious.
Nice selection of drinks and delicious comfort food that reminds me of the UK. My husband loves it here because of the football (I mean soccer). I'm knocking off a star because of their terrible attempt at a vegetarian version of a fry up. It's basically the meat version but instead of the sausage and bacon, you get extra tomato and mushrooms. Lame. Even in England everywhere serves vegetarian sausages, or they at least replace the meat with something decent like a hash brown.
I just realized that I have never rated this place although I was coming here for years!!! Excellent selection of beers. Simple by great tasting food (lam shepherd pie is my personal favorite). If you are into 80s British rock (I am) you will love the “soundtrack”.
The fish and chips here were fantastic and I've tried enough over the years. However, serving chilling Old Speckled Hen (an ale) disappointed me greatly. I eventually order my beer and left it to stand for half an hour to allow it to warm up. Perhaps it's the American way, but sometimes beer is mean to be served at room temperature, not cold!
