Perfect perfect perfect. Absolutely wonderful food, people and atmosphere. Prices are super reasonable as well for the portion size and quality. Such a wonderful experience.
The food was amazing! We got the rib and fried chicken plate. Both came out quick and were super delicious. The atmosphere was a 10/10 and music selection was on point 🫰🏽. Chef Mina came out to check on us after the meal. Would definitely come back!
Ma-n-pop is a jewel. Great food! Nicely seasoned and nice portion sizes 🤤. The atmosphere is amazing! To be surrounded with so much Black History was absolutely wonderful. We will return... With friends!!!!
A piping hot, wholesome meal where you can taste the love. Looks like cash only + they have an ATM but they take cards. Reasonable prices, excellent playlist. Thank you so much for being here for me today.
It was raining hard and I dripped water all over the floor, I’m sorry.
This place has most excellent vibes. Wall art that feels authentic, not procured by some corporate restaurateur. Great tunes. A menu that is simple but feels truly domestic and comforting. Fantastic, endearing alternative to the “trendy” soul food nearby. Worth the stop, especially for their Sweet Tea.
I loved this cozy soul food spot. Just a few tables but so cute and cozy, service was friendly, food was delicious, and prices were good!
Food is always good. My first time ordering a drink and they get it wrong I asked for ginger ale and received sprite. I do not like sprite. I called and was told they have no more ginger ale, so why didn’t they tell the delivery person so he could call me to make another beverage choice. Guess I will continue to get food and no drinks.
I love this place! Come here for real auntie vibes. No, it’s not the most efficient but honestly there are countless places for soul food in a corporate atmosphere if that’s what you want. Here you get great food at a great price in a laid back authentic setting. Love.
Small Bed-Stuy eatery w homey atmosphere. Had breakfast, 2 pieces of fried catfish, grits and scrambled egg w cheddar cheese. Everything was delicious! Ate everything and felt satiated for hours. Caught the itis and laid down for a couple hours afterwards. The banana pudding, a nice heap for $6 is so flavorful and fresh! One of the best I have ever tasted! The place is always packed and the wait for take out food is longer than most, but the meal is worth it. Everything must be made fresh daily because they run out of choices of sides by 12 pm. Ordered pork chop dinners w 2 sides, yams and Mac, that I ate later that evening. I thought the pork chop would be smothered, but it was fried. It was ok, but I think I'll stick with the catfish. Not everyone can cook it and they cook it to perfection!
Southern cuisine at its finest. Small venue, big on taste. Being from the south, l discovered fish and grits at an early age, this is where I go to satisfy my fish and grits crave. Good cooking, also great collard greens, cornbread and candied yams all cooked in the Southern traditional way. Good Eating!
My husband and i went there for breakfast and boy THAT CATFISH WAS DELICIOUS WELL SEASONED NICE AND CRISPY... DANG I CAN STILL TASTE IT. WELL RETURN. AFTER YEARS OF PASSING THIS LOCATION I NEVER KNEW THE FOOD WAS SO SOOÒOO GOOD... 😋 😋
Great food for very reasonable price! I loved the meatloaf and yams especially. My friend from Europe also enjoyed his plate. A great place to show him a part of US culture outside of the touristy part of NYC.
