Dumbo kitchen is a typical deli with a nice seating area. This place shines because it has a bar, however, every time I have gone it has been empty. The food looks fresh and the sandwiches are delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite.
Had a wonderful experience at Dumbo Kitchen today. The food was great and the service matches up. Very clean and nice atmosphere. A very nice welcome into Brooklyn! I loved it.
Underrated dumbo joint. Definitely Worth stuffing your face here. Good selection, good seating, and right next to the york stop (subway). A good bacon egg and cheese to start your day if that’s your thing. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Appetizing displays, friendly helpful staff. Better than average turkey sandwich.
Select what you want from the clearly posted, varied menu and/or glass enclosed display cases, give your selection to the cashier, pay, receive your order number and wait for it to be called out - but not very long.
When I asked the gloved young man behind the display cases if the turkey sandwich was served hot, he said "no, it's a cold sandwich but l can ask the kitchen (staff) to warm it up for you". Whoa!! What's that you say? Unfortunately, I live more than an hour away and was only in Brooklyn for the day, so I can't get back to DUMBO Kitchen again very easily.
But that kind of customer service combined with a good tasting, reasonably priced (hot) turkey sandwich makes it (almost) worth the trip in from Jersey.
Thanks DK!
I won't be judging anything else but the food. Check other comments for the flame.
We had a beef sandwich, coffee late and chocolate milk. Nice place, clean and well decorated. Little expensive but tasty sandwich.
Delicious food! Great service and ambient. My favorite are the meatballs and their dinner special . They carry dough donuts. Their bar has a good updated beer selection, outdoor seats, sangria and mimosas... good call for happy hour or Sunday walks close to bk bridge.
I enjoyed my meal. I would eat here again with friends.
Stepped in here during a downpour after getting off the subway. We were searching for a good place to have lunch and when I saw the menu, I knew this would be a great place. I'm rating this five stars for the food, the gorgeous interior, the location, and above all, the friendly staff! Loved it and can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area.
We get catered breakfasts or lunches from this eatery a few times a week, and it is a solid stand-by. Good, no frills sandwiches and breakfasts. They have a nice happy hour for beer and wine, but while it would be nice to go there to get a drink with a girlfriend, it doesn't feel bar-y enough to be the usual post-work watering hole.
So at first I was ordering with who told me about amazing prices about food . I just got back from the doctor so I was Hungry and needed caffeine... being stressed I saw a bar and asked a server named Danielle if the bar was open. That is when the real customer service kicked in..she was sweet and tried her best to pour me a local draft to exceed my expectations. Sitting and drinking I met the most wonderful person who I thought was just a gal on her lunch break. She ended up working with the restaurant and treated me like we were just two people enjoying life as it comes. Her leadership impressed me as people were asking her questions on how to handle situations that seemed simple but hard for the staff. The way she responded was genuine and empathetic towards the staff that made me want to stay and order more food and drinks because of the dynamic positivity in her response . I love to order food from people who love to serve people. Caitlyn you were PHENOMENAL ! The owners do a great job on teaching the staff customer service.
