Came here for lunch but they only have brunch food on Sundays. The place was a bit too loud, but cozy. The potatoes were very oily, and the salad is just arugula, but other than that good dishes for the price. Would love to try the pasta at night.
Went to an Italian Michelin rated restaurant two days prior and I must say the food at Bonafini was better. I can't stop thinking about the pepperoni pizza. The tomato sauce is out of this world. Our server Luca was definitely the highlight of the night. Very kind and patient. Helped us choose items from the menu(we were all very pleased).
Came here for brunch, would recommend the breakfast sandwich it was the perfect mix of sweet and savory
Came here for brunch, it was easy to reserve but when we got there it was quite busy. Service was friendly. The matcha latte was nicely foamed but they didn’t use a good grade of matcha which is my main complaint. I had the montrealer breakfast sandwich which I thought was a great portion for the price. Pretty tasty and would totally eat again.
Food was great and relatively reasonably priced. Very good nonalcoholic berry drink!! As someone who doesn’t drink it’s hard to find “fun/festive” NA drinks, I was very pleasantly surprised! Dark/dim atmosphere at night inside, outside seating is also available.
Nice atmosphere. I’ve been for both brunch and dinner. Brunch is a little overpriced, but I think that of most brunch places. The pasta is really good for dinner!
Overall rating: 4.6
I remember coming here for dinner once and to be honest I didn’t love it. I thought it was overpriced for the location & while the pasta was good, it wasn’t anything special.
THEN, I went for brunch! Oh, my, god. I am obsessed with the French toast. Like obsessed. Like best I’ve ever had. I also got these “fries” or hash browns and it was a bit overwhelming tbh.
But I will definitely be coming back just for the French toast. It is SO good. Their juice is also really good!
I’m consistently surprised how cheap my bill is, a rare experience in NYC. The place can get a little loud, especially at brunch, but that’s what brunch is like. The food is great, especially the hash browns. Totally recommended.
Found this location after googling "brunch near me" on Sunday. Greeted at the door by a hostess who warmly informed us that due to capacity maximum the wait would be 30-40 mins. We were surprised to be informed our table for 4 was available after a 20 minute wait. Temperature were taken as required. Restroom was cleanliness was decent. Our waitress, Laura, was an absolute delight. Attentive but not over bearing and we greatly appreciated her service. FYI the pancake stack is large and wide.
This place is a new little hidden gem in Brooklyn.
Proof of vaccination is required upon entry.
The waiters were attentive, positive & courteous.
The food takes a while but when it came out, boy was it gooood! My French toast bread was huge blocks and was kinda dry but still delicious.
For a quick breakfast & brunch, GO HERE!
Excellence service and excellent food. A lovely gem in the middle of Flatbush!
My wife and I tried Bonafini’s brunch months ago, and recently came back to try the dinner menu.
It’s a really nice date spot with amazing food, good ambiance and reasonable nyc prices.
We will definitely come back for the pancakes at brunch time! 🤤
This was a very relaxed and quaint restaurant! Highly recommend from multi diners! We all enjoyed our food and were highly satisfied! Nice sized portions for the price! The desserts were delicious and yummy too!
We were there today. The staff were very friendly and kind. The food was very delicious and fresh. Even though we were crowded (10 people), the food arrived on time, and there were no delays. I will definitely go there again.
Went for brunch without a reservation. Waited about 15-20 minutes during peak service time and was seated and served very quickly. Ordered the rise and shine with bacon and the blueberry compote on the pancake. It was the perfect amount of food and tasty.
A great local date night spot. The pastas are my favorite. I love the broccoli rabe and sausage pasta. Will note that it not the most expansive menu and it is a predominantly meat based menu, at least the mains. Nothing beats their date night for 2 deal tuesday - thursday for $30 pp. It is really is fantastic, and the service is great. Also they have a great non alcoholic beverage selection with proxy wines/mocktails, but also have great booze as well.
Had an authentic breakfast in a lovely atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend the place.
Food is really fresh.
I had Portobello Mushroom, Roasted Tomatoes & Cheddar Scramble (w/salad, toast) and organic lemongrass-ginger tea.
Will come back again!!!
Staff is also very friendly:-)
If you want good pasta this is the place for you. The place itself is kind of dull, was really dark and the music was a bit too loud for my liking. The food was really good, definitely recommend the parpadell.
Very good service and very tasty food with good portions, on the pricier side tho
