Indulging in the desserts at Settepani Bakery is like taking a heavenly journey through authentic layers of Italian flavor. From decadent cakes to delicate pastries, each creation is a masterpiece. What truly sets Settepani apart is the genuine warmth exuded by the staff—they go beyond serving treats, making you feel like an honored guest. The family feel is palpable, creating an experience that transcends the ordinary bakery visit. It's a sweet escape where passion for desserts meets a welcoming embrace. Our favorite desserts are the rainbow cookies and the pistachio panettone. 😊
This place is an incredibly authentic Italian bakery that clearly has been in the same family for generations. The rainbow cookies are so fresh and one of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best. We also got an amazing pistachio panettone (pictured) that was beautifully presented but also tasted incredible.
The service and neighborhood feel was also top notch. Highly highly recommend!
Changed how I thought about Panettone forever. Family run artisanal bakery in the finest traditions. They also make gingerbread houses and mean espresso.
Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, this charming Italian bakery is a timeless gem. The moment you step through the door, the aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet pastries envelops you in a comforting embrace. The authenticity of their recipes is evident in every bite, transporting you to the cobblestone streets of Italy.
The crusty artisanal bread, with its perfect balance of chewiness and crispness, is a testament to the mastery of their craft. Each pastry is a work of art, from flaky sfogliatelle to velvety cannoli filled with ricotta that's nothing short of divine. The dedication to quality ingredients shines through, ensuring that every treat is a symphony of flavors.
What sets this bakery apart is not just the delectable fare but the warmth exuded by the staff. It feels like visiting family – a sentiment that elevates the entire experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're welcomed with open arms and treated to a taste of tradition that transcends time. This Italian bakery isn't just a culinary haven; it's a cherished piece of Brooklyn's cultural tapestry.
I really can’t say enough great things about Settepani. I live near their Harlem restaurant, and wanted a mousse cake last minute for my mom’s birthday, which was starting in 2 hours. She loves their light/dark chocolate mousse cake—it’s the best! I went to the Harlem restaurant thinking I could pick it up there, but there was a miscommunication and the cake was at the Brooklyn location. So Leah and her daughter drove me in their car from the Harlem restaurant to the Brooklyn location so I could pick up the cake and get back for my mom’s birthday party in time. We chatted in the car the whole way. They’re the loveliest people!!
It has very good selection of Italian cookies and all sorts of cakes. I like their cookies and rainbow cake is tasty, with nice jam between the layers. Will come back and try more cakes
I live outside of Philly, hadn't had A good Sfogliatte in years. Family came and brought yours.
They were the best I've ever had, totally off the hook.
Just put in two orders for other family and myself.
Outstanding !
Such a cute bakery run by a father/daughter team! When I went in, I was looking for very specific baked goods and they were so friendly and accommodating. I was making gift baskets for corporate clients and they took the time to make sure the pannetone I purchased looked nice and had pretty ribbon on them. They had so many other delicious things in their display.
The owner is sooooo sweet !!!! You can tell why all of the treats are pure perfection because she puta soo much love into it and it shows !!! They make such creative treats I’m hooked for life
Loveliest family owned bakery
My go to spot for Italian baked goods! I lived in Italy for many years and whenever I feel nostalgic I goto Settepani to pick up some mini cannolis.
Most recently I tried their Panettone and wondered what I’ve been missing out on all these years. The texture is something else. It was such a hit at the holiday dinner I heard it described as like eating clouds, flakey but pillowy... The host texted me this morning saying they were full on addicted and commented how fresh it tasted even days later. It’s become one of my fave NY things and I look forward to sharing it with all!
Great prices and friendly atmosphere only two blocks away from the "L" train. Nice and quiet atmosphere for small group meetings or quick business meeting. The options for coffee, tea and expresso are great and the bakery options are huge. Cakes, pies, Pinoli,Biscotti, Tarts,Cookies and they make personalized cakes for almost every event.
Extensive selection of Italian cookies, pastries, and other baked goods (gelato too). Matched by friendly, generous service. Check out their various gift baskets as well! High top tables outside for a quick bite during these COVID times.
bakery is just as great as i remember when i worked around here years ago. the sfogliatelle is very tasty and taste just like home and goes great with their iced coffee- super strong
I’ve only been there once for an anniversary of the bakery, but everything I’ve had was delicious, my father works here and I also had me and my moms birthday cake made here and it was amazing, the bakers and staff were very kind 10/10 place
