I have never had anything bad from Wasan. At worst, it's just good. At best, it's fantastic and flavorful and delicious, and all you ever want to eat. The ramen is fantastic, the fried chicken is wonderful, and the chirashi is a delight. Can't recommend enough.

Stopped here early, 11:30am, for a quick bite. Angelo, my server, provided perfect attention and suggested a special that included salad when I ordered 2 vegan rolls. Pumpkin and Avocado rolls were yummy and Angelo asked if he should inform the chef (Of course!). Love ordering sushi. It’s made to order and very fresh. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Lovely vegan 🌱 options.

The food is generally delicious. The mackerel grilled well, friendly and clean, but I'm not sure I need the spring rolls that come in the bento!

The ramen was delicious. The pork was tender and juicy, noodles were firm, and the broth was really rich in flavor. The sushi on the other hand was supposed to be spicy but actually wasn’t. It was crunchy though. They don’t make adjustments to the dishes (ie making something spicy). But the service is great.

4/4/23 back for meal break. I had chicken teriyaki bun, pork dumplings, salmon roll and yellowtail and jalapeno roll. All was very good and fresh. 12/2 back again. Still very nice and clean. Great music too. This time i had a chicken bun, pork bun and vegetable udon. All good. Service still great :) 4/25/22 first time here. Very nice and clean, very friendly service from Miki. The food was good. I had salmon roll, yellow tail and jalapeno roll and a bbq chicken bun. Everything tasted good and fresh. I'll be back to try other items. Thanks -

I loved it, especially sitting outside. The beef tendon in wine created a good counterbalance with the Chirashi box. Very creative good, very tasty, even if the fish wasn't among the best in the city. I'll come back to try more stuff.

Tremendous taste and value. The portions were plentiful and the tastes were fantastic. The crunchiness of the Japanese fried chicken really set the mood. Furthermore the sushi rice had a richness to it. The complementary barley tea was the perfect palate cleanser (not to mention the cup was wonderful to warm our hands while we waited it to cool off). This was our first time dining out in 2021. We were not comfortable with eating inside so much to our delight, Wasan had heated lamps above their outdoor tables. Much kudos to the way they have adapted to the new realities of Covid. We hope that this restaurant will continue its successes.

Nice Japanese restaurant in Fort Greene. I had the vegetarian ramen, which was good. It was filling and not too salty, which I really liked. I also had the mushroom sushi, which was also good. They have a lot of lunch specials, so would recommend going here during lunch. They also give you tea, which is always a plus.

Both an excellent spot for lunch and dinner, and the food you get for the price you pay is incredible! Service is great— this is a true Bergen Street gem. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options too. Here’s some photos from lunch today: spicy tuna and duck something roll, pork ramen, and pork bun and eel bun. Everything was delicious!

Wasan Brooklyn is a hidden spot for authentic Japanese food recommended by my Japanese friend. We had their Bento box with a reasonable price (from$13) and different combinations of entree and sides. Their food was delicate and you can tell how the chef care about what they serve from all the details. My favorite was the grilled yellow collar, amazingly delicious and juicy. Their sashimi was also great, fresh and cut in a not-traditional but satisfied way with great portion. We definitely will plan to visit again for their dinner menu shortly.

We had such an amazing lunch here. We made reservations in advance since we were going to be a large party. The restaurant is small, but very cute and cozy. The food was really delicious and tasted very fresh. The staff were welcoming and warm, and we really enjoyed our meal.

Japanese fried chicken, miso soup, sushi (salmon, yellow fin, tuna and scallop) with Wasan Brooklyn salad. Very fresh fish and veggies. Rice and chicken both cooked wonderfully. Staff is super nice and really cool vibe. Probably the best Japanese food I've had outside of Japan. Love this place. Thank you!
