Great local spot with friendly service. We stopped in early on a Sunday night and were seated immediately. We started with the meatballs and each ordered a pasta (homemade lasagna and the lamb ragu). Super delicious and well priced. We’ll be back!

Went for an early dinner and so everything came out all at once. The fried calamari I highly recommend, the batter was light and crisp and it came out perfect. The pasta was good, prefer this to the one I had around the corner. Overall everything was good including the service.

With so many delicious food options in the area, it was hard to decide where to go. Glad we stumbled into here because the pasta was top notch 👌🏼. The carbonara pasta was on the specials menu and was one of the best carbonaras I’ve had! The pasta had an amazing texture to it. The meatballs were also a great side dish to share. Lastly, can’t forget about the bread and olive oil. The olive oil had a nice bitterness to it

They have a daily lunch special that includes a salad for $15. So worth it. I also got a glass of wine.

Very authentic, simple, family style Italian restaurant/trattoria, with a nice selection of colorful, delicious pasta dishes. The salad was tasty and refreshing, maybe I would have just been a little more conservative with the gorgonzola cheese which tasted quite salty. The service was nice, attentive, never invasive, quite cordial, the portions very generous and the prices reasonable. But what really conquered my heart was the olive oil that was brought to me to dunk the bread in. It was probably the strongest, earthiest, intense oil I have had in this country so far, it tasted like if it had just been squeezed out and barely filtered. I simply fell in love with it. If you're around the area and looking for a quick bite, this is definitely the best place.

An absolutly fantastic restaurant with authentic Italian cusine (Italiano vero!). We ordered two different pastas, the one papardelle with lamb ragu and fetuccini with butter truffle sauce. Incredible delicious!!! As a lunch special we have got two salads with gorgonzolla and with parmegiano reggiano. We were served by a nice gentleman, probably the owner, a native Italian who loves his cuisine, likes to cook and talks about cooking. It was like a vacation in Italy again. Thank you !!! This place is a real diamond on the Greenpoint food map. High recommendation!

🌟 Best pasta I’ve ever had in my life 🌟 All the food (mussels appetizer, seafood risotto, and truffle white cream pasta) that we ordered was fabulous, both of server and the owner were very kind and friendly. I don’t live close to this restaurant, but I will definitely go again and try different dishes.

I have to say I keep coming back here again and again. There’s something about the food and ambiance that keep this place on my list. The menu is small the dishes are simple but the taste is divine. I used to love the quirky staff that seemed high on something. I could never have the pepper shaker. You can forget about adding chicken to any pasta dish. That’s make the owner crazy! On the off day that he’ll let you add the chicken expect to pay a crazy price. Not that I pay cuz hubby always treats me. I digress from the point, can a gal get some grilled chicken? I love the place you will too. The wine is Mmmm good kiss y fingers to the sky!

Came here with working team and I almost fell in love with the chef here! We were a huge team so we got to try out a lot of dishes. 🍴I highly recommend their duck entree! The meat was well cooked with wonderful sauce and veg on the side. The broccoli di rabe was good for people who want a healthy appetizer. And the fried calamari was delicious too, for ppl who want a classic start. 🌟And desserts were super impressive that will be the biggest reason that I wanna go back.. their chocolate mousse was really really good. The tartufo was amazing too.

- Scalino GP is an absolute gem in the heart of NYC, and I can't sing their praises enough. - The star of the show, without a doubt, is their rigatoni. It's not just pasta; it's a culinary masterpiece. The texture is perfect, and the sauce is a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. It's a dish that keeps you coming back for more, and I find myself craving it frequently. - Vanessa, a member of the restaurant's staff, is the embodiment of excellent service. Her warmth and attentiveness elevate the dining experience. She's not just a server; she's a true ambassador of hospitality. - If you're in NYC and craving authentic Italian cuisine, Scalino GP should be your go-to spot. The combination of outstanding food and impeccable service makes it a standout in the city's culinary scene. I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

One of the best Italian meals I've ever had - this is a true hidden gem local restaurant in Brooklyn! The food, drinks, service - all in all, what else more can you ask? Went for a dinner on Friday after my friend's casual Yelp find - we're looking for somewhere cozy and good without any time limitation esp during COVID times. So happy that my friend found this place and we decided to try it out! Not only Tim (our server but he may be the owner?) provided superb service throughout the night but the food itself was amazingly fresh and on point! I mean there're soooo many mediocre Italian restaurants everywhere, esp in NYC, but I'd say this is seriously by the far top notch tasty one in the city for sure! We ended up having so much fun eating and drinking starting from appetizers to entrees to deserts and all the wines and shots...! Thanks Tim for amazing hospitality and having us - we'll def be back!!! Do yourself a favor and stop by to try one of their pastas and you won't regret! (And thank me for it) ;)
