My wife and I walked in, and it was packed but it was Sunday late afternoon. The service was top-notch. The food was amazing and authentic. Their prices and the atmosphere were great too. We can't wait to go back.
OMG best of the best Uzbek food!! Thank you owner for your hospitality! I don't know from what to start... Tashkent salad was so fresh and delicious, the portion is huge. Shurpa can't describe the freshness beauty and the taste. Lula was soooooooo juicy 😋 We could not finish all kebabs but beef Was tender and just wow. Definitely will be back
Fantastic Uzbek restaurant! Brighton and the surrounding areas have a lot of Russian and Uzbek restaurants but this is probably my favorite, been here a few times.
Every time the food has been fresh and very well made. My personal recommendations are the "potatoes homestyle," the samsa, the manty, and the kebabs. All of the kebabs were pretty tasty but the lamb ribs were definitely the best.
Why I am I giving it 4/5 if I like it so much? There is a 10% service charge in small letters on the menu. If the prices aren't high enough to pay appropriate wages, then that should be built into the price of the dishes. Or just trust customers to tip appropriately. I usually tip 20% and I was confused if I still need to tip 20% on top of the service fee, or if this was considered part of the tip.
I'll happily revise my rating to 5/5 if they get rid of the service charge. If you're in the area definitely try this place, but be aware of the service fee.
Place is incredible. A friend brought me there - it was my first time trying Uzbekistan food - mind blown. From amaizng prices to hige portions from great service to the actual finger-licking food - I loved everything. Go there on purpuse, even if you are not in the area. Go there deliberately, you will thank me.
Cool place! It serves traditional Uzbek food. The food was nice.
Amazing food - I've been on the search for a place since another restaurant in the area closed. If you like central Asian cuisine this is a great place to go. If you drink, you may want to BYOB! Else, just enjoy some delicious kebabs, rice, salad and dumplings
Service sucked big time but food was delicious. Liver, chicken and beef kebabs had great flavor. Salad was fresh and lagman was good too.
This restaurant could pay better attention to their customers.
I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the food was here. The pilaf and luyla kabobs were amazing. I also recommend the dumplings. Omar Khayyam is named after the Persian poet who lived roughly 1000 years ago. His poems on wine drinking and chill sufism were highly controversial and brave at that time. And, that's the fun fact you can take away from this review. Enjoy your meal.
Wonderful staff, affordable prices and very very delicious food. My favorite was the lamb cheburek.
We had a wonderful lunch here. The staff is super nice and helpful and the food is OUTSTANDING. The veal liver kabob us not to be missed!
I have been here first time last weekend with mu friend. The staff was so nice, food was amazingly tasty, well served. The next day i wanted to order because i could not go there, unfortunately the phone ☎️ was not working, or they were too busy. Nice cosy place with delicious food. We tried manty ( big 🥟) and kebab . Kebab was so soft, and well cooked oh god i wanna eat there again. I wish they offered their food for uber eats.
Been here more times than I can count! The food is always on point and the staff is very accommodating. My friends an I make a point of eating here monthly if not weeks for our boys nights. I highly recommend you try their beef kebabs. Don’t know how they make it, but I’ve never had juicier & tastier beef kebab in the US.
Such a delicious food, the staff is super friendly. I’m just in love with that place. Will definitely be back. Guys, you’re adorable!
First, I was a bit nervous because of negative reviews below. But everything was great! Waiters were very welcoming and polite, orders came quickly, food was delicious! We had a big order: lagman, shurpa, manti, pelemeni, different kinds of kebabs.
Of course, the furniture really looks old and the restrooms need to be cleaned more often, but overall that was a great experience! By the end of our dinner there were a lot of people, and I didn’t see any bad customer service!
We’ll definitely back!
Very good place, alike to Nargiz back in time, salads are huge, meat is good, cake was very tasty. Crowdy, but worth it
This restaurant was scrumptious! We loved the kebabs, borscht, salted veggies, kachapuri, and compote, as well as the fact that you can byob. Service was very friendly. We'll definitely be back! Relaxed/casual vibes inside including TV's playing music videos.
My new favorite place in Brighton. Forget about Tatiana's. This place has better food and is much more affordable. Excellent prices as a matter of fact. Also BYOB. Super cool staff. Great decor. My only problem was the table was too small for all the food I ordered.
Excellent fresh salads & kabobs right on Coney Island Ave in Brighton. Home cooked food in a restaurant setting.
