Chong qing chicken. It is our signature dish, Dry chicken w. three kind of pepper, it is Green pepper, red chili pepper and szechuan peppercorn, which give a firey and numbing feeling in mouth....so special kind of the spicy food.

Excellent!. Metro Cafe boasts "grill and authentic Sichuan Cuisine". Everything is homemade, down to the hot chili oil. Went around 11pm with a group of 6 on a Saturday. Friendly owner and server, food was out fast (10 min or less). Excellent flavors, great if you love spicy (they'll do it with or without) and great for vegetarians, too! Especially recommend the shredded bean curd and celery. Three pepper chicken for those that love heat. The quality of the food was outstanding and definitely worth mentioning that not only do they do heat well, but the flavor achieved with all the dishes we sampled was fantastic. Also, the owner mentioned to us that the menu has been expanded over the last two months. One of us had been there before, so she made mention of this.

On a day in mid-September, while New Yorkers were still wearing t-shirts in the evening, Metro Cafe served up one of the best Sichuan meals in the city. The restaurant is one of the two best Sichuan locations in Brooklyn (also check out Grand Sichuan House in Bay Ridge ), and has a case for itself against the popular places in Flushing. Oddly, you will find a lot of uninteresting, and un-Sichuan Chinese fare on the menu, but ignore this and focus on the good stuff, and things will go delightfully. Dry bean curd noodle with special sauce ($6.95) Shredded potato with hot pepper ($8.95) Sautéed & dry string bean ($8.95)  Mapo tofu ($8.95) Braised fresh fish with chili sauce in hot pot ($29.95)

I'm not nearly eloquent enough to describe how good this place is. The food is absolutely phenomenal. It's spicy, perfectly textured and the flavors are incredibly rich. When you go, make sure to get the Chong Qing Beef and the Dry Chicken. I promise, you'll be back within days to get it again. The decor and atmosphere are nothing to write home about, but the staff is extremely friendly.

It's a whole other level from your ordinary soggy, greasy delivery foods. The Kung Pao chicken I ordered was crisp and freshly cooked. Plus they do speedy late night deliveries which is awesome. Always top notch in my book !
