This place is super bueno. I recommend the tacos, sopes con carne, tortas, and of course the chips and guac. Their food is made with love! Very good burrito. Order was on time. I also had the mole de callo soup, it was good but i need to try the pozole.
Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico!!

In the back of the deli is just a completely delicious place to grab some gorgeous Mexican food. Especially the Torta is often on my order.
Large portions of excellent Mexican food! The house special veggie tacos with napoles (cactus) were served with side of verde and mole salsas. So good. Al pastor burrito gets some press. Up front, groceries include tortillas, produce, and specialties like queso cotija. What more do you need? Note: cash only.

I recommend the chicken cemitas
👏 and service also very good
True Mexican food! Very down to earth spot! Just want you want! El Mejor lexicannen el barrio : )
I found this place on Google maps just searching for a quick bite to eat on our way to prospect park. It looked like a bodega when you walked in, but the restaurant is actually in the back.
We were seated and given menus right away by a waitress, even though the restaurant was buzzing with movement because of the bustle of the lunch rush.
The waitress was patient as I practiced my Spanish while ordering. We got the carne asada sopes (which I'd never had before), tacos (3 for about $10) and a cheeseburger with fries. 3 bottles of cokes washed it all down. They served beers, jarritos and horchata too though.
Everything was delicious! Even/especially the fries. Our food took a while to come out, but again the lunchtime rush was in full effect when we walked in the door.
Zero complaints with this spot, even the salsa was on point!
This is the kind of place you want to go. If you want really good food. I love Mexican food. One of the best tacos in Brooklyn. Flavor on point. Nice size good price. First time there, won't be my last.
Superb hole in the wall bodega with a great Mexican food restaurant in the back. All the usual suspects of quick Mexican fast food, but with a couple of awesome regional dish highlights. Highly recommend if in the area. Don't just a book by it's cover - take a chance and enjoy the food!
They are consistent in the portions. Their prices did go up ( I remember when a burrito came with avacado ) . Their flavor is definitely more authentic than their competition a couple of blocks down which is bigger and can accommodate larger groups. But this spot is worth the flavor. It's just missing that Umf to be a 5 star (I think it's the ambience...)
Chinantla is an absolute MUST if you live in the area. Get their Chinantla Torta!!! I would have taken a picture of the beautiful gooey cheese and layers upon layers of meat and avocado if it weren't for the fact that I attacked it as soon as I opened the wrapper! You will be happily surprised by the beastly heft of this torta!
Chinantla excels as a bodega and restaurant, all in one. Very delicious traditional Mexican food, with a good mix of TexMex as well.
Delicious flavors + huge portions. Tacos, enchiladas, and burritos are all really good here. They also have a tasty chicken soup if you're looking for something healthier.
One of those hidden, back-of-the-bodega taquerias, this one is actually pretty spacious and has plenty of tables and chairs if you'd like to dine in, though most opt for take-out/delivery. I've only gotten the burritos here, which come in a box covered with awesome sauce and cheese, and some salad on the side for greenery. A great neighborhood option for a casual lunch.
