My girlfriend and I enjoyed our meals in hot stones bowls. The tomato juice was small and there were no visible Koreans. Not that I'm racist, but a Korean place could use some Koreans to make you feel like home. Very good, but not Hangawi. Did not have a large selection of Korean food, but the food we had was very delicious.
We serendipitously stumbled across this little place in Greenpoint after discovering that the place we wanted to eat at wasn't open for lunch today. They have a few vegan items on the menu which were quite tasty. I ordered the vegan dumplings and steam buns with tofu. The combination of flavors were great and ingredients fresh.
Went for brunch, the place was busy, I had the eggs Benedict which had a nice unexpected chili twist which I loved. only down side I asked for English breakfast tea and was served Darjeeling..not the end of the world..
Hi Ms. Marcin. I am the manager of Mrs Kims for which you left the following reviews on Google and yelp:
"Worst service ever experienced in whole New York! The bartender Danny is a racist and attacks women. The bartenders are so ignorant in paying attention to the customer that one has to call for them, resulting in them getting aggressive and extremely hostile -calling us immigrants and starting to actively threaten us with his friends at the bar! Don't spend your money in a "Make America hate again" spot! These guys are the worst of hipster, lost soul, drugged out Brooklyn produces."
I am writing to you because your review concerns me greatly. You have the right to voice your opinion and express your experience in review sites. But here you directly attack an individual's character by name and refer to my business as a Trump supporting house of intolerance , and I can't begin to describe how inaccurate that is.
Whatever conspired between yourself and Danny is regrettable. However I know Danny to be a passionate and caring person, a dedicated actor but sometimes bad with his choice of words. He has been reprimanded and will behave better. But he is by no means racist or sexist. But beyond that we have a long history of hiring and retaining staff from all communities. We are proud to have employed Gay, lesbian, African, Asian, European, Latin, and worked together under one roof for a number of years. Simply walking by our business every now and then you will see the diversity of staff we hire. That's because we truly believe in diversity and equality, instead of using them as means to incite hate or controversy.
I am born from an immigrant family. The owners are immigrants from Korea. They worked hard starting as poor immigrant painters to be a hard working small business operators in Brooklyn for 25 years. We proudly support diversification of America and do not take lightly against such allegations
I've been coming here for the past year, I was surprised to hear it was under new management...lunch staff still great, cooks and bartender...but they shrunk the menu, which is great, but they removed a lot of favorites like the fish and chips...still a pretty good place to eat
Favorite spot always a delight. If I lived near I'd get the kimchi everyday.
Fav spot in BK. Get a kimchi Bloody Mary and the bimbi-bop, never fails.
Good food, good service. But know that when they say something's spicy, they aren't kidding!
Great little Korean spot with delicious kimchi bloody marys.
Decent options for vegetarians, with American dishes too.
역간 퓨전 한식 느낌이에요. 곧 미국 음식들로 메뉴를 바꾼다고 하네요.
