Great Poke spot in the downtown area, they use very fresh ingredients and their service is super friendly! A new fave for me.
Not cheap with their ingredients, lots of stuffs in their bowl, very flavorful
Simple poke bowl with fresh ingredients, generous portion and very well playing, even for the take out! One of my favorite toppings is the lotus roots, definitely a spot on! The staff are always nice:) Should have visited earlier!
Friendly service, cute and cozy interior, and flavorful poke bowls! Only thing is it could’ve come with a bit more fish.
I got a spicy tuna bowl and it came with toppings galore - avocado spread, mango, edamame, seaweed salad, pickled ginger... The cooked salmon bowl seemed to be a crowd favorite as several customers were ordering that one.
This is a fun little poke and bento shop on Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. Great pan fried salmon and poke bowls. They have a nice variety and the prices are decent. I would definitely recommend a visit and look forward to stopping by again!
Visiting on a Monday afternoon, wasn't busy so it was nice inside.
Meal was really delicious. Never had poke bowl before but I'd definitely have it again. I got octopus for mine. Cashier was attentive and kind. Place looks clean. He even gave me a side of greens because it was my first time here. It was so good.
Simple NYC has a more of a mom & pop and authentic feel than your typical poke bowl chain or fast food place. The service is prompt but the food has an artisanal quality that tastes delicious. The ahi tuna raw bowl is gorgeous with generous and slightly seared strips of fresh tuna.
Food is amazing! Prices are great! Staff is lovely! Thank you, definitely will be back!
It was huge (really!) vegan poke bowl, cooked, quinoa as a base, sunflower seeds added as a crunch. Around 13$ total. On top of quinoa a lot of mildly spiced tofu (soft, raw), ginger, edamame, variety of other slices pickled & fresh vegetables. Literally HUGE:) The place itself was empty at around 1:30 PM on Tuesday, just few walkins came & left with their orders for take out. The meal was really tasty & well balanced, I just give 4 stars, cause they didn't beat my favorite poke from Wiki wiki. But! Simple has bigger menu & more options in terms of the base & added crunches, just check the menu. Recommend, no reasons not to, very positive experience, staff is very polite and attentive.
Nice bonus: still cold water & fortune cookies for free!:)
Like their namesake Simple NYC really keeps their bowls simple, fresh and delicious.
I chanced upon them while strolling downtown and looking for healthy options to eat. Poke is a mad fad these days, so if you're doing it well you know you'll be turning a profit real soon.
I ordered the Ahi Tuna bowl where the tuna is not raw but lightly seared to absolute perfection. See picture for insanely beautiful colour. I ordered it with a base of quinoa (not a fan of rice) and for crunch those chow mein noods. The bowl was absolutely delicious and I realized why mid eating. They use a sauce that they make in house and it really is like no other I've tasted. If I'm not mistaken it was an avocado aoili.
While eating I took a look around and was impressed with the simplicity of the decor and how clean they kept the space, behind the counter too. The price was pretty reasonable too and parking was an absolute breeze.
So excited to head back again and try one of their other options. If you're not a fan of raw, they do have cooked options too.
Best poke I had in a long time: gluten free, fresh veggies, generous portion, quinoa-based option, rip mango, great quality price ratio... I will definitely come back :)
I ordered salmon poke, the salmon was fresh and the toppings were plenty. The service was excellent and the staffs were very friendly. Definitely will come back again.
